Common theory says the Traveler terriformed all of the world's to be hospitable (I believe, I could be wrong. Not up on the lore to much). It didn't personally effect us, but the area around us. It would be like going to the moon and adding artifical gravity somehow. If you happen to bring a bowling ball with you, that would be effected.
