Admittedly I've not been playing Destiny long and I bought the first game and instantly loved it, and then went to purchase TTK and now ROI, originally I played Assassins Creed just mainly just for the multiplayer and still do, and have now become a crucible addict, I also admit my K/D at just 1.0 isn't great, so I'm not the best player but I'm not the worst either, and I know it isn't the best like some of you veterans and I love the fact you go head on with your primary and may the best man/shot win, and this isn't a complaint or criticism I just want to know people's opinion on shotgun rushers in the crucible.. do players using them use them in raids and strikes? And has the shotgun purely just become a crucible weapon..

Hate them.

1 RespuestaI really hate shotgun rushes. It's getting to the point where I really want to put the game down but go to pve to calm. I get it, its easy kills. I don't blame people for capitalizing on the current meta to slide their way into easy victories. I just don't get it.. I like the challenge of trying to get kills with primaries it's harder and when you get the kill it's much more satisfying but what can we do?
-
Love them...if they're me. Hate them...if they're anyone else.
-
It's to much now, given I play a warlock they're not to easy to avoid either
-
Me and my saladins vigil love shotgun rushers. Even when they have a jug shield, its like putting ketchup on McDonalds fries.

Hate them. Shotguns turn a bad player into a player that can go positive. Which is sad.
-
I don't feel like they are overpowered. Overused.. perhaps.
-
Love them, because those guys are predictable, people who actually use grenades and thier primary are way more dangerous
-
3 RespuestasThey're sometimes used in pve, depends on the modifiers and situation, in archons forge and poe they're used more than in raids, in pvp if it's a whole team of shotty rushers it can get annoying but usually it's not to bad, and year one was a lot worse, shotguns killed way farther than they do now

1 RespuestaYou have summoned me

5 RespuestasLove the noobs who try to win with the meta, hate the people with an IQ > 70 who have the "skilled" ability to slide shotgun.
-
2 RespuestasThey are relatively used in strikes, raids etc. The ammo nerf made an impact on them for sure. As for crucible, I am not sure how to feel about them, they are just doing their job, right?
-
It's way more rewarding to vaporize some shit gunner than any other exchange. They fly in your face... Then fall to dust. It's a beautiful thing.

1 RespuestaEditado por Redraven26_91: 10/25/2016 10:48:18 PMI love them, I'm not that good at pvp, but it's so fun to watch one fail by just gunning them down with a pulse rifle or an auto rifle. A good source for free kills too, as long as you keep your distance with a scout.

1 RespuestaShot guns are for PvP. While they are fun on most casual PvE stuff. End game PvE no. Trials depends. U are better off knowing how to use both and switch on maps or different play styles. Reminds me of gears of war. If u want a kill use a shotgun. My biggest problem is the warriors out there. No team work and pushes to be the lone wolf in PvP. I don't like them myself and think Primaries need a buff and all classes need armor buffs. We could just nerf damage and range on shotguns too.

1 RespuestaLove 'em. Easy kills for me and my Havoc Pigeon.

Love them.. a sticky grenade for you. A sticky grenade for you. You all get sticky grenades.

Way back in y1 there was a patch that brought shotguns up by 100% (or around there) damage in pve. I believe it was before prison of elders. Shotguns were awesome in pve during that time. I used my found verdict and sworbreaker in all pve activities after that. Then I believe before ttk released they nerfed the damage in pve.

On occasion in Pve but mostly just Pvp
-
But if you take away shotgun runners on a game like destiny then you have to take away quick scoping with snipers and add focus to them.
-
Hate because most of the maps allow them to get away with it the whole game.

"Fast firing sidearms"
I thrive on salt
It's a mindless way to play, but on the other end of the spectrum, hardscoping is a kind of boring way to play. I personally love running around with primary/shotgun, but I feel a little like I'm playing call of duty and find myself going on tears, as well as getting caught in very, very shitty situations. Recently, I've been playing a lot more conservative with shotgun (as opposed to warrioring) and using my primary a lot more. I honestly can't stand the people who primary shotgun.
-
Love shotgun rushers, hate small maps and cover. To use a shotgun right you use cover and get close enough to pounce and make a retreat. Maps are so cluttered it's too easy to do this almost everywhere. A good shotgunner won't give you enough distance to kill them and that's why they seem/are OP. We need better maps! During the sniper meta I didn't have a problem flanking on big open maps and people couldn't just aim head level at the only doorway. It's the same thing, when you clutter shit up and force people to move through obstacles making every strategy predictable it's people are just going to find the easiest most "op" method and abuse the hell out of it.

1 RespuestaYou don't see any shotguns being used in PvE. All you ever see in Crucible is Shotguns because they are so overpowered that everyone and their mom uses one.
