People like you that will leave without you old characters can go. The amount of new players will overwhelm the fraction of people who are going to be butthurt over loosing their character. In reality, all of your armor and weapons are going to be useless, so there is no point to keeping them anyways, no reason to not start over...

It's not the armor and weapons I'm talking about. It's the character. I'm fine starting at level zero like everyone else, what I want is my character to be the same one from the first game. Again what is up with the hostility?

Everything else should and will be reworked from the ground up due to the legacy console flat leave. Let them make a fresh game. Think Diablo 2 interms of a sequel surpassing its predecessor.

I'm fine with a reset so long as my accomplishments are remembered as mine. Not "the old guardian". I'm talking on a narrative scale not items and level.
