Bungie doesn't care.
They've even started this buff called "Vanguard Streak" for when you're in the Vanguard Taken War Heroic Strike playlist.
It [i]says[/i] that it increases your chance to have Legendary Engrams drop during the Strikes you run, and resets every time you return to orbit.
My questions is: what kind of pathetic chance is this? I ran six Strikes straight in that playlist last night. not a single Legendary drop during any of the Strikes, or the aftermath rewards.
So, what's the point if the RNG system is so broken, unless you're going to make it a [i]significant[/i] increase in Legendary Engram drop chance?
This loot system is so -blam!-ed... seriously, the shit-tier loot rewards and abysmal drop chance for engrams really remove the desire to grind this shit out, Bungie.

Yeah, I took about a year and a half off of this game. But with the way things kept sliding and are still sliding downhill, I might need another break from it soon... seriously. The gun mechanics are still pristine, but literally everything else is broken, lag-ridden, or focused to no other purpose than to increase the players' Grind. This game used to be so fun in Y1...

Feels like you may have broken around the same time. I'm surprised you're not also impressed with a lot of the add ons. It's still the same people behind it obviously, with their questionable ideas... but so much better than it was

I've always questioned this. That reward system for staying in strikes has to me, never ever seemed to make any difference what's so ever. I feel like I have a better chance if I go to orbit. So no, it's not working. Maybe never has. Guarantee is an error in coding and not working as intended.

Vanguard streak is useless. So are the keys. I have been wanting that devouring hat and grasp for the longest time. Even when they do drop - the perks suck meaning it turns into weapons parts or infusion bait

Yep. Ran another slate of Strikes last night. I even fired off a 3oC (figuring maybe I can get an Exotic if not a Legendary). 5-6 Strikes. Zero (0) Legendary Drops. Plenty of Blues. More Greens than I could count. [b]ZERO[/b] Legendary drops. And I agree with the quality of the Loot being trash. Since I've bought TTK, I've received six Grasp of Malok. The Perks on each were such garbage... they went into infusing the weapons I have. This loot system is so -blam!-ed...

Last night I was running nothing but rumble matches. Top player kept beating me and had the dirtiest grasp. Hand laid stock out law and glass half full. How the fck do people get so lucky with rng? Same with party crasher and matador from crucible.

It's the one thing that really ruins my fun - is seeing people who have God roll gear knowing that I don't have access (or will never get access) to the same roll/weapon. I have done 12 strikes tonight and not seen one key....... How are people getting these God party crasher and matador rolls?

Agreed. I for one, love my Scout Rifles. I see everyone using Hung Jury from Dead Orbit, and that's my chosen Faction as well. Now; I see that the one the DO vendor sells doesn't have the greatest of Perks. So I keep trying to grind out my DO rank in the hope that a HJ will drop. I started TTK about a month and a half ago, and my DO rank was 68. It's 76 now, still no Hung Jury. But I have received six (6) copies of the piece of shit DO Fusion rifle. I don't even use Fusion Rifles (I dislike the way they handle), but I sure as hell won't be using that PoS. The stats and perks are absolute garbage. But the RNG just won't quit giving me that horrible fusion rifle. I'd love to be able to use a legendary in my Primary slot so that I could explore some of the Exotic heavy weapons, but I'm not just going to throw any old piece of shit weapon there. This loot system is so -blam!-ed...

This ^^^ bump I love pulse rifles and have ground the game so hard to get a decent stability roll on something I like. I love my Nirwens mercy when the iron banner guy sold that with full stability and counter balance. Since then I have wasted 100's of motes leveling up factions and grinding for keys. I keep getting that worth less bond fro omnigal. It pisses me off seeing kids running riot with matador rolls or perfect party crashers/grasps. I wouldn't give a fck if the vendors actually re rolled items every two weeks or we could reforge stuff. That we everyone had access to the same equipment making a fair playing field.

I would grind out and blow through so many in-game resources if they would just bring back reforging... Don't use Legendary Marks though. There's already enough shit that runs off of Legendary Marks, that I'm always running short. But Glimmer, Motes of Light, etc. Make the reforging use one of those resources, and I might be able to stomach the grind a bit more.

RNG is one of the main reasons I quit playing after taken King. I had enough of the grind and realized what a broken system looked like. Favoring the lucky and giving a luck based drop system was something I have always and continue to hate. I despise the conspiracy theory. Ugly as fck shotgun but forced to use it because of its meta perks. It works but sadly because it's the only shotgun that I have been "gifted" good enough to compete to the standards I like. I have put days into this game and the three or so party crashers I have just won't drop with range or great perks.

I'm even out in the cold on Iron Banner, since I refuse to buy RoI until the price drops. My reasons are many, not the least of which is I won't pay a premium price for DLC, when it doesn't even contain enough content to support a $15 USD price tag. But I digress; my point is that, why have that type of buff if the "increase" in drop chance is so p[athetically small that nothing changes from when the buff was absent? We all know RNGsus is a cruel, sadistic -blam!-er. Putting in a "buff" that doesn't actually increase the drop chance is just a slap in the face when the regular RNG slaps people enough already.
