Bungie,
Maybe increase magazine and reserve ammo, then a damage buff? Each LMG should hold no less than 3 full magazines of ammo.
If heavy ammo crates in PvP only yield 11 bullets as they do, then whatever, but at least give PvE an alternative to Gjallarhorn without nerfing it, again.

1 RespuestaI'd love that. On another note: Who still has nightmares about running into The Swarm...

1 RespuestaEditado por iim Diz: 10/1/2016 6:53:25 AMLMGs are incredibly viable. I still bust mine out every now and but have been using gally for nostalgic purposes. Here's what you do... 1. Pick up heavy 2. Let allies and enemies blitz each other with their Gallys and LMGs while you sit back and relax 3. Many die from heavy kills thus reducing the amount of enemies who have heavy 4. Start moving and move around the perimeter using your teammates as cover 5. Rack up heavy kills Works every time. Edit: just noticed you meant PvE. I'd love a PvE LMG buff!

I want to like using MGs but at best 2 mags is just not enough ammo.

2 RespuestasTake back the severe ammo nerf that ruined mgs

3 RespuestasThey need a complete rework IMO. Right now they're just big autorifles that do more damage. I would like to see the following changes in order to make them a more viable choice. 1. Ammo and magazine. Magazine should be between 50 and 150 depending on archetype. The absolute slowest would have 50, the bullet hoses would have 150. 2. Damage. They need a damage buff, and a very large one. They need to become the things that everyone fears to run into. I'm talking about making the fastest firing ones kill in 5 shots (40+ per headshot, and the slowest firing ones reliably killing in 2 shots (100+ per headshot.) In pve not even snipers should match their DPS. 3. Recoil and accuracy. Recoil should be lower, but accuracy should stay poor and bloom slightly faster. 4. The downsides. In order to balance these huge buffs they will need some significant downsides. a. Slow handling. Swapping to this weapon means you will need to wait a few seconds before the weapon is fully out, and aiming speed is slower than even snipers. b. Movement. While holding a machine gun you cannot sprint, your movement speed is slowed, and your jump height is significantly decreased. When you swap to your primary this effect stays for 5 seconds. With these changes machine guns would annihilate anything in your slights, but you become extremely sluggish. When you pull out your LMG you should be sure that you're in the area you want to defend.

3 RespuestasIf i could ONLY have one weapon... BTRD Scrublord city.

3 RespuestasMy friend has a unrelenting deluge lmg with surplus. He always has ammo for it.

I think LMGs are perfectly fine in PVE damage wise.. I pretty much only run them since I can take down far more trash mobs or yellows. Bosses, Ghorn/sleeper for sure. I agree on the ammo though. 100 per belt on mid RoF, 50 on max impact/low RoF, 150 on the dillivian archetype
-
2 RespuestasRather than having one a clear winner in DPS over the other, they need to try to get some of the elite weapons closer in terms of DPS so that the only decision is whether you need a damage spike (rocket launcher/sleeper) or a constant stream of damage (LMG, possibly sword?) and then design encounters which would incentivize use of one or the other.

Thunderlord is amazing still!
-
G horn is just bad sword are best in pve.

2 Respuestasraid lmg IF MATERIA~ has triple tap and triple double

1 RespuestaTry first citizen my first ccitzen has a fast fore rate with no recoil and hits for about 600 to 700 a show with a mag of about 40. Super nice. I hit wvery bullet in the mag a ceit shot beceause of the no recoil. I literally dont need to hold the stick down to compensate for recoil its that hood

2 RespuestasBro have you used the Nemesis Star yet? It completely shreds whatever you are shooting at.
-
Nemesis star is a waste of exotic space even compared to the super good advice or gallahorn. Machine guns are just weak.......

Editado por sample897: 9/29/2016 9:49:30 PMOne thing this is that weapons not only machine guns but weapons like the sleeper need a buff because i think that sbould have the higest one shot damage
-
I have no problem using my machine guns effectively, or using my ammo effectively. Maybe play smarter and more efficiently.
-
7 RespuestasAgreed. Honestly LMGs shouldn't even have magazines. Let me fire all 150 rounds in succession without reload. Also: up reserve ammo to 150 rounds for all LMGs. You can drastically reduce the amount in PvP, but the super long reloads, the relatively low amount of reserve ammo, and frankly the relatively low per bullet damage make them just meh in PvE. You don't have to fix all of those, but at least address one or two. Like honestly I can't really think of one time where a sword, a rocket launcher, or sleeper simulant wouldn't be better.
-
Haha...no kidding

17 RespuestasThey nerf every weapons for pvp They don t care about pve players
-
6 RespuestasLMGs were the best heavy option until Gjallarhorn came back. Maybe, possibly, that was the reason it was gone for a year.
-
2 RespuestasCan G-Horn without a Bow/Sunbreaker/Sunsinger deal crit. Damage? NO Can LMG's it? YES
-
-
This is an entirely grouped issue. Separating PvE and PvP changes. I'm a PvE player. Iron Banana is all I do when it comes to PvP... even then I only go in for the endgame loot. Where are our duel wielding?!
-
You don't need to use Gally.

3 RespuestasTheres a new perk ive seen on heavy mg, expect to find more ammo for this weapon and carrie more in reserve, this, with field scout and more a heavy ammo chest peice probably gives alot a ammo, i dunno tho just a thought
