Im going to say it!!! [spoiler]IT[/spoiler]

I became an iron lord, got a bitch ass sword that launches yellows into orbit, nuked several hundred fallen with a freshly forged gjallarhorn, went on a treasure hunt for khovstov parts, ass fcuked a virus that gave saladin ptsd, climbed a mountian, tried finding an emote that looks like im petting the wolves, attempted to solo the nightfall... got ass reaped, soloed crota, got a shit ton of ornaments, got too emotional with my ghost at the end of the khovstov quest, annoyed the shit out of newbies with the gjallarwing horn, got short of breath at the prison of elders, was killed by a pack of dregs in patrol for the first time in 2 years, drove my sparrow off a cliff thinking it was the right way to go, and last but not least got to jump off a mountian splat on the bottom and be respawned back at the top multiple times. Probably did more in one day in rise of iron than i did in a whole year doing the taken king. Was it worth the $30 for the most fun ive had in a video game in years? F*CK YEAH!

I didn't pay $30 for 5 minutes of a story mission and a bunch of lame ass quests lol Not this time bungie hah

Something Just Feels Off. I feel like I’ve done almost everything there is to do in a day. After three years, I find myself disappointed that an expansion has rolled around after a year-long wait, and we’re still essentially fighting the same enemies on the same maps. Half of the marketing campaign for Rise of Iron was based around the triumphant return of the Gjallarhorn. Remember how many quests we got in the Taking king. In ROI after the storyline you have a few quests to do then, it's back to playing all the old strikes to raise your light level, it's so boring.

It's very "meh" Two days in & it doesn't feel like a new DLC anymore New exotics could be obtained within a few hours, reskin everything, story is very forgettable (go figure) Still no mention of the Traveler Fallen are just red with purple shields Forge is pointless & holding one offering is ridiculous Skeleton Keys added to stop strike gear farming on nightfalls No mention of the virus pre-rise Supremacy is shotguns only What else? Still gonna be playing everyday because Destiny/Bungie

I personally enjoyed the final boss fight the creepy guardians hanging from the ceiling, using the axe for the first time, and smashing the sh*t outta SIVA infused, iron lords and then blow in the whole f*%#ing place up and getting a big a$$ sword that obliterates yellow bars!!!

I'm enjoying myself as well. But the incredibly short story is not a minor defect. It's a major one. One of the few problems I have.

Not enough stuff for $30

Played for 2 days. Bored now.

i actually loves the new setting.. for the first time patrol or "being out in the wild" feels like a threat to me.. and the enemies can be annoying at least.. the areas are big enough and the devs had the mercy to allow at least some mountain climbing before they threaten us with death in 4..3...2.. the enemies are nice and the tunnels and roundcourses are nice.. negative: - again no explanation, just some heroic dude that tells us to go there and shoot things.. - again no scientific explanation about SIVA, who invented it, where did it come from , why did they know about it, why did they thought to "control it" what has been rasputins role? why dont we study it, why did he hide it in the first place etc etc.. lots of stupid descisions and brain farts.. - WAY to cheesy story telling, way to "heroic" way to HE-MAN and the masters of the universe, Lord Saladfingers stand in his own fvcking temple ? how fvcked up is that? he must have the tiniest penis in the history of penisses when he needs such a ego boost to have himself a temple build.. thats quite fvcked up. also his attitude is plain "bloke" and "douchbag".. sadly.. - the khvosthov endscene is ist 100000 pounds too much cheese with that whine.. - now there are two cosmodromes? whut? why? - Wretched eye strike.. "CIRCULAR ROOM WITH NO COVER" anyone? seriously Bungie you need to get over that obsession of a circular room and have the guardians run around in circles.. seek medical help.. its not too late bungie, really!.. - get rid of that writer he's a douchbag .. really .. someone who comes up with those cheesy dialogue lines should not write a end time scenario game.. stick to the guy that made the dialogues with TTK.. way better WAY better.. - lord saladfingers voice is pure crap.. and btw he looks white washed when you talk to him.. all in all. i [b]like[/b] it despite the gaping flaws.. most likely sicne there is really nothing else to play at the moment .. but its a good start, now return festival of the lost next week and the week after sparrow racing with new tracks.. and we are good..

In terms of scope I gotta say TTK was substantially better. Where RoI is like the latest summer block buster leaving you at the edge of your seat with the action, TTK was more like the epics like Lord of the Rings or Homers Odyssey. All of Destiny would feel like an epic if things from grimoire were incorporated in game. I can only imagine how incredible it would have been to witness Oryx's rise to power through a cinematic.
