We still haven't been given any kind of update on the poor picture quality issues plaguing some of us right now.
I've been reviewing some videos and reading some of the new features we can purchase through Everest Trading Company once ROI is released. One of those are Golden Age Lens. These are applied as artifacts that change the way in which you view the game. Blue hue, or yellow and a few others. Septia for example.
I'm wondering if this is the issue behind the poor picture quality and in order for us to see the game better, it will require us to make this purchase in order to have the game look better.
This concerns me, because I don't want to make a purchase for the game to look right or to my taste. More importantly, as we close in on the game September 20th, I really don't want to have paid for a game that in some cases hurts my eyes and diminishes the gameplay.
What is the status of this issue and when can we know what the possible solution is BEFORE the release of ROI?

91 RespuestasThe current grain issue has nothing to with the Lens Artifacts and you will not have to purchase them to see the game clearly. We are working on a fix for the grain.
-
2 RespuestasTo be blunt, if Bungie makes us grind for, or purchase, anything that removes an intentionally installed problem / issue, they will be receiving my game disc in the mail after I chop it into pieces with my axe. This better be an error bungie. Because if it's not, this is pathetic, selfish, greedy, and underhanded, even for you.

Editado por Marcheziora: 9/16/2016 5:19:03 PMWhat to remove newly added film grain? Buy these new Artifact to do so!

Fix is being deployed on Monday it was stated in the weekly update

16 RespuestasWord to the wise for all you people who are either to cheap to buy a decent hdmi cable or a proper 4K t.v. Or know how to adjust your setting in your TV, but guess what my picture has never looked better since update! Matter of fact I have noticed many changes and animations I never noticed before because how crystal clear my picture is.

9 Respuestas....yes bungie says it's a bug....most likely introduced by the filters that eververse will be selling. Just remove the stupid things...why are they wasting time and money on something as stupid as a colour changer. No one....NO ONE asked to be able to play with an all blue or any other colour screen! Here's Bungies logic... Community..."we want to infuse everything including or year one loot!" Bungie..."oh you want your old stuff to be useable again? Okay, how about we make your TV BLUE! You're welcome!" IDIOTS!

4 RespuestasEditado por Hoops: 9/16/2016 7:41:40 AMI listened to the truthcast today. Sorry for sounding like an ass in my comments. I understand your frustration. We all need to realize that there was obviously a lot of things Bungie didnt expect would happen with this update. They could have done some internal testing though... Say hi to sols for me. We have had many back and forth "chats" in the early days on here.

17 RespuestasWhat, you think they're going to sell an item that goes right out and says "increases picture quality?" Their offices would be burned down if they ever did something so blatant. What's with all these conspiracy theories.

3 RespuestasEditado por Hoops: 9/15/2016 11:05:12 AMIts not poor picture quality. Its a simple film grain effect that hopefully will get fixed. You are being a bit dramatic I feel.

4 RespuestasAnother topic based on wild theory and false outrage, all for views and to drive the frothing "discussion" that is mostly just hate on the feedback forum. Bravo.

It's getting patched the 19th. Thank-you to all the guardians who supported this and other posts and thank-you to Bungie for listening.

2 RespuestasEditado por TheDeath0fDucks: 9/15/2016 10:22:31 PMIt's magical how they try to make a DLC, and screw up the graphics. What's next? Buffing a weapon deletes all our characters?

11 RespuestasI took this screenshot in a dark place, there is no grain on my screen or in game. Please, take a screen a shot/ and or video and show me how grainy your game is, because I seriously don't see it.

4 RespuestasWhat is this film grain people keep complaining about? My game looks the same.
-
Just bought an Xbox One, finally upgrading from 360 before RoI, and was horribly disappointed to see just how obvious the grainy-ness was that I've been reading about. How do you screw something like that up so badly, and on a game that was previously so pretty? That said, I wasn't too upset about that, specifically, as I was only viewing it in Destiny Trial Version, since I'm one of the many people unable to even purchase the Destiny Collection Upgrade and play, you know, Destiny (an error they ALSO said they were "investigating" ... two weeks ago).

2 RespuestasGo to your PS4 settings and go to screen & sound and set your resolution at 1080p

I just got my XB1 version of Destiny and noticed some grain/noise in the pause menu and in the Cosmodrome Wall, but nothing major. I guess the degree of severity varies as much as the issue's occurrence.
-
I thought it was just me. I have a 4K TV so the grainy picture quality was pretty noticeable. Seems really/noticeable when in orbit. Still though, they need to fix that crap. Stupid Instagram culture creeping into games now? Don't give a shit about playing my games with a Sepia filter.
-
1 RespuestaI would not be surprized. They have done it with gjally to... first nerf it and take it back. Then selling it as a dlc exclusive!. Thats bungie... recycling the game as much as possible...
-
I have to say I've noticed it as well but it is minimum at least at my end. Dose it need fix? Hell yes they dropped last gen they need to improve the quality not decease it. Bungie is doing a poor job addressing issues lately.

19 RespuestasLet's be honest there's nothing wrong I haven't experienced any of this shit except in a pitch black dark area such as aluh kul's cell. Turn your brightness up or something or stop messing with your picture quality.
-
5 RespuestasI have no problems with grainy picture. What picture quality setting do you have your xbox set to? Also what is your tv resolution?

Editado por Ant Heuser Kush: 9/15/2016 3:48:59 PMI don't believe you (and many others) think this a ploy from Bungie to get you spend money to make your game look better. They already said it was a bug and they're looking into it. If you purchased any of the new lens artifacts, your picture would still be grainy, it would just be grainy in black and white or sepia. I've seen people say that they downed the graphics in order to make people think RoI looks better -- my picture looks better than it did in Y2... I guess I just have really good eyes and I sit no more than 2 to 3 feet away from my 24-inch monitor.
I hurt someone's feelings
9 RespuestasRedWingGirl can you post a screen shot, I guess im.lucky to not be experiencing anything different. I'm just wandering what it looks like.
