There needs to be a penalty for aborting matches. Im tired of joining a late game with my team 10,000 points behind. We've all been through it.
You start a game then the other team starts to dominate. You teammates give up right away and abort, which makes it even harder to catch up. Then new people join then they leave right away because they see no hope. And its a vicious cycle until you get mercied.
There needs to be a penalty system implemented where if a player leaves too many times within one day(this number will be decided later), then they are temporarily banned from the crucible for a given time(also decided later).
This will promote players to not give up which means that there is less of a chance that you join a game thats bound to be a loss.
Please promote this idea! It'll help everyone in the end.
tldr;
Penalty for leaving game -> chances of joining a late game greatly decreased.
Of course there are certain situations where it wasn't your fault so you wont get penalized.
It's not like you get penalized the moment you leave, only if you abort continuously.

1 RespuestaSo you're telling me that if I go help my grandmother take her medicine for 20 minutes, or else she forgets my name I should be banned? Think before you speak. People either have stuff to do, or just don't want to play.

NO!!! Bungie has no idea as to.what they are doing with matchmaking. I have quit so many matches lately it's not even funny. All because of redbar warriors and fake greenbars. I refuse to stay in a match where I die from a melee and the guy is on the other side of the map or headshots by a sniper through 2 walls and absolutely no way I can be seen. If people get penalized for leaving a game like that would be the last nail in the coffin

2 RespuestasEditado por IIIIIIIIIIIIIII-: 9/12/2016 1:33:07 PMNo. When I see redbars, I report them and leave because I do not want to fill 10 minutes of my life with bad gaming experience. I posted about SBMM hurting our experience earlier: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/212512810/0/0 Play with your friends and do not get anal about people leaving for whatever reasons they have. It could also be you who made them leave by picking up heavy ammo in front of them a little bit too soon, or by not reviving them in skirmish/salvage, or by not capturing zones in control, or by standing there stupidly watching enemy killing your teammate instead of shooting.

9 RespuestasNo. Skirmish isn't fun when your teammates won't res you/allow you to res them. I'm going to leave if they don't know how to play the damn mode.
-
No. Because teams are usually unbalanced. It's a waste of time to sit in a game if I actually need a win. I'm not going to stay in a game with a bunch of trash players because I don't want someone else to have to deal with that situation. You said it yourself. You're tired of being put on bad teams. Well I'm probably the guy that left the game in the first place because I have a bounty that requires a win. The answer is no.

14 RespuestasYouknow why there is currently no penalty for quitting right? because it's a GAME! This is why Bungie will not add a penalty for leaving matches early and why you should just enjoy it. It is just a video game most people play for fun.

7 RespuestasI would agree, but only once game connections are better and this game moves to CBMM. As it is right now, i quit games when playing nothing but red bar heroes, and ill be damned if im taking a penalty for quitting because this game is prioritizing that my KD (which pretty much means nothing) over making sure im in a game in which i can actually shoot someone and have it register.

3 Respuestas"Of course there are certain situations where it wasn't your fault so you wont get penalized." I assume you mean getting kicked by one of the dozens of error codes. I would never depend on Bungie to add that coding, they tend to do code half-assed (think all the hot patches and unintended changes). How about leaving a match you get put into 10,000 points behind? Is that my fault? Let's say they do have a penalty for leaving, would you rather have people just stop playing or leave? How often do you get put in a match underway? I would guess my percentage is less than 5% of the time. How often am I in a match where the dominating player is a red bar, I would estimate 20 to 30% of the time. How often do I leave a match, maybe 1% of the time, I get kicked more often than that.

8 RespuestasNo. I leave all the time when playing solo. I get put on a really bad team, I'm gone. Matchmaking sucks.

11 RespuestasI disagree. If I join a shit show I'm not going to stay around to be hit with the shit.

6 RespuestasBetter question. Why do people leave? - Too sweaty (6 snipers gets old quick) - Red bars - Team that doesn't play the objective - You're a parent and your kid started crying or w/e You see why you can't punish people for quitting?
-
4 RespuestasNo one? :(

6 RespuestasNo there shouldn't. Red bar players cause people to leave
