I find it frustrating as I'm level 314 and now it's really hard to level up. It's ridiculous that I have to wait over a week until the dlc comes out just so I can level up :(

Before this patch and the dlc if you got to 300 doing strikes and grinding hard you where lucky. 310 is super high for normal raid hell I was fishing hard at 307. You need to complete high level activities to get high level gear, i don't understand why people don't get this. You are not going to get 335 gear patrolling earth so stop doing it.

Really? Look at my King's Fall completions, then look at my characters. The raid only helps you to get higher light level faster. You don't need the raid at all. Oh and this characters are not even my original ones. I deleted it all and started fresh. I even emptied my vault when i did so i had no gear saved to level up faster. This green engram galore is truly affecting people that are still no max light and don't want to do King's Fall.

Exactly, the Raid is the fast way to lv up and my personal favorite, i understand there are other cheesy ways like PoE/CoE for the Noobs 😁 And if the plan your play, u can raid, CoE and IB in a week and get your characters to light cap in 2 weeks lol.

I wouldn't call someone that decides to not take part of the raid a noob but, it is your opinion and you're entitled to it....i don't agree though. To me the people that gets to max light without the raid deserves as much respect as anyone else. I admire their dedication. I just prefer to leave elitism to PvPers :)

It's always about the raid, always has been always will be. There's differently some good PvP players out there and some of them are terrible at PvE and vice versa. I'm a team man myself and you can't play with me unless you have guns and ammo. And a Black Galjahorn 😉

also faction and vanguard rewards are still up to 330. rank up those for leveling up

You could try challenge of elders, that can drop higher gear for you.

Also, even with exposure this week, CoE is very doable as a solo player. Edit: i would have helped you but i see you are on Xbox :/

Then wait a week until RoI comes out or just farm heroic strikes with 3oCs. If you don't mind playing with others, go look for someone to help you beat CoE. The choice are there if you really want to put the effort to level up....

It's probably easy for day oner's to say that because year 1was F%$!Ken terrible and we had find every possible way to speed up the process. I said Raid because thats what I like to do and it the fast way to level up, but others have mentioned PoE, theres also IB and Trials, but they all have one thing in common. You need to play with people, except for IB but it's better in a group. Destiny is a muilti player game and you'll find it hard to get to the top with out help.

Don't worry about points or anything, just focus on being able to beat it. If you manage to beat it, then you focus on trying to get as many points as you can on next runs. Since you are still low on light level, you probably won't get the 30k, but you can get the 90k with enough runs. As a warlock, run with stormcaller, if you die to much, run sunsinger. Also you might want to change your load out. I recommend a scout for primary(and main boss dps) and use a shotgun as secondary for defensive purposes. For heavy, either a sword or machine gun will do. I prefer machine gun because you can get headshot kills with it for extra points. Always focus on adds first. Clear the adds then focus on the boss. Also remember that, at least for the rest of the day, super kills will grant you bonus points, so try to use your super at the beginning of each new wave of adds to maximize score. Hope this helps, my first solo runs were at 316 light so believe me its doable. I know time is ticking, but this week is your best chance to start getting some nice loot from CoE. The only "bad" modifier is chaff, everything else favors you. If can't beat CoE as your current light, i strongly recommend grinding heroic strikes. Between strike specific loot and exotic engrams from 3oCs, you can level up pretty fast. Just remember to equip your highest gear every time you decode Exotic engrams :)

Then go on lfg, and find people to raid with. Look up on YouTube how the raid is done if you don't know how, and yes you do have a mic as your Xbox comes with one. So don't even try any of that shit

Whoa what's with the hostility? Wow. Firstly how do you know my Xbox has a mic don't presume to know me. Secondly just because you anonymous don't talk the people like they are scum. And finally lfg doesn't have a great reputation as most of those guys expect you to know what you are doing. I don't this game was fine the way it was I shouldn't have to play a certain way to level up.

Well if you have to come up with excuses to not level up then don't complain about it. It's like complaining about getting a zero on a test despite just knowingly writing your name on it and turning it in. No one else's fault but yours.

Yes but others can give constructive criticism, not go In guns blazing. I've had some great people give great ideas and not one of them felt the need to be a douche.
