I've been playing video games since Atari. I am 38, married, with kids, but I have never lost my love for playing. I can say with absolute certainty that I have never had as much fun playing a game as I have had playing Destiny.
I am a day one guardian on Xbox One. I got a PS4 shortly after year two started and began working between both systems. While I had a good group on Xbox to play with, I really lacked friends on PS4. I utilized the companion app and LFG for raid parties, but as many of you know, it can be hit or miss finding a good group to get it done.
I found out last week that a friend I made my second day owning a PS4 was in a group on here and he told me to look them up and request to join. It was a Dads of Destiny group, so it really fit with me. They have over 100 members. I joined and since then I have not had to play by myself at all. It doesn't matter what I'm working on, there always seem to be guys willing to help. And vice versa. I try to help in anyway I can. Even though I have over 1800 hours of play, this has opened up a whole new level of enjoyment for this game!
I would encourage anyone who is getting "bored" or is having trouble finding a good group for raids and other harder end game content, to look for groups on this companion app and request to join. It can take your whole Destiny experience to a new level.
Big shout out to CaC420Lassen for the invite and all the guys at Unknown Redux for accepting this PS4 noob to the family! And thank you Bungie for giving us this great community that enhances the playability of this game we have come to love!
Edit: Thanks for all the great comments! We are trending! Be sure to like and comment. I would love to hear more good stories!

I know what you mean.... Dads of Destiny revengence took a game I enjoyed playing solo and brought it to a whole nother level. I couldn't imagine not running with these guys on a nightly basis. Helping each other with quests. Iron banner. Raids. Jokes about squeakers and self inflicted black spindle tragedies. Wouldn't play without them. 4" out

4 RespuestasReally? I joined DiD on Xbox One shortly after the game released, and I have NEVER been able to get a group together! I think I've played with one, or two people from the clan. I think I need a new clan.

5 RespuestasGreat post! I love reading posts like this when I'm at work, they really help to pass the time. I'm 24 and also have two kids, my girlfriend works at nights so I play almost every day for at least 1-2 hours while the kids sleep. I'm the leader of a small clan called Spartan II Program which I pretty much created to show up under my gamertag. Most of my original Fireteam now play other games such as Warframe. If anyone on Xbox One is interested in joining feel free to message me. I play PvP mostly but have a good amount of experience in all three raids and Skolas. I also consider myself a good speedrunner when it comes to strikes. Please, if anyone wants a descent nice player to play with send me a friend request. GT - Mister Merc

5 RespuestasThanks Trace, to give you an idea of what Unknown Redux is about here's our mission statement and you can find our alliance clan Unknown Redux II here https://www.bungie.net/en/Clan/Clan/1645159 Welcome to Unknown Redux, the greatest clan in the galaxy! We now have an alliance clan Unknown Redux II We were formed out of DOD The Unknown PS4 and we still consider ourself a dads clan! Family, Work and Gaming are all important to us and we understand when you have to answer the call of real life. However even when not playing we like our members to be active in the group wall and forum, where you can look for groups and generally just chat with friends. We have a 30 day inactivity policy, if you have been inactive for 30 days without speaking to an admin we will remove your clantag to make it available for new members. We have some strong members in the team and we always help a brother out, reach out on the wall or forums for help and organise games on our private group on the100 https://www.the100.io/groups/3501 As your skills grow we want you to help others too when you can. We like to compete in Clanwars which you can sign up to at http://destinyclanwars.com This pits our skills against other clans in a variety of weekly challenges We are the #1 PS4 clan for Iron Banner and it is a favourite week of ours, we get to run with so many different people and is a great way to fill your friends list. Plus whilst casual gamers we love to win it!!! What we do, we do as a clan. We help each other out completing raids, triumphs, challenges but you will only get out of this clan what you put in. We are loud, proud, funny, rude, drunk, hardworking, tired, old, young, helpful, stupid and giving. So here's to cheating, stealing , fighting and drinking . If you cheat may you cheat death; If you steal may you steal a woman's heart; If you fight, may you fight for your brothers. If you drink, may you drink with your brothers. We are Dads and we fight together

2 RespuestasI'm a 37 yr old Dad on Xbox. I have a following of younger players who constantly ask me "Hey Ultra, you're a Dad" questions. I am a safe place to get lectures while I carry them through Elders, Court, Etc. Last night one of my friends says his mom is too far away to hear him and I stopped him and remind him that he's in her house and he's too busy playing video games for her to hear him.

3 RespuestasI just came back after not playing for almost a year. Was always great at PVP, but I find it hard to find consistent people to play with. I wish I did. Would make it a lot more fun.

6 RespuestasThis game is definitely a waste of time if you're a solo player. I'd say, at the minimum, you must have 2 regular players who you're familiar/comfortable with to have a good time in this game. I'm lucky to have a steady pool of 7 people, myself included, that play Destiny and hang out in the same Xbox party almost daily.

1 RespuestaSame boat as you my man :-) Good post and good hunting
-
That's great! I'm happy for you.

2 RespuestasAre there any Aussie guys in dads
-
1 RespuestaAwesome. I've joined 4 clans now and none of them have actually worked out. The latest has plenty of members but they are mostly underleveled and can't really do the end game content.
-
1 RespuestaHey, are there any 17-year-olds in that group?
Some people make poor life choices.
-
I'm a recent DoD member. I don't get to play as often as I'd like at the minute, but when I do get online with them, we always have a laugh :)
-
4 RespuestasMost clans are gone now, most people are playing other games.

I fully expected this to be a smartass post about how you got a taller chair to sit in while you play :)
