If you want a cheap one & don't really care about the 3D features, you can get a 2DS for around $70.
Or if you want a 3DS XL (bigger screen) there are some cheap ones. I bought mine on sale at GameStop used for about $100.
If not then the New 3DS XL is the newest model and costs around $180-200.
The 3DS has a fantastic library though, and it is definitely worth it.

I was thinking a 2ds since I'm a huge battlefield fan so I'm definitely getting Battlefield 1.

I was thinking "The 2DS can't play Battlefield?". But then I thought you want to save enough money for Battlefield 1. If so, then yeah, your cheapest & best option would be the 2DS.
