Will sleeper simulant become useless when year 3 gjhalahorn drops
Wondering if the gjhalahorn will completely outdo the sleeper

Didn't even know the Sleeper was even relevant in this game. I used it for about a week and put it away deep into the vault.

Since no one really knows in what state Year 3 Ghorn will be, I guess we will have to wait and see.

Sleeper Simulant has done way more damage than Ghorn ever did and now that the two can be compared for real this time, I'm sure Sleeper will still do more damage. Hopefully there will be a new weapon stronger than those two though. I doubt a 385/400 Gjallarhorn will do more damage than a 385/400 Sleeper Simulant. I can't wait to have a 400 Raze-Lighter o_o

Y3 Gjally is not going to sniff Y1 in terms of raw power. Sleeper will definitely still be a competitive option. Depends on how nerfed the Gjallarhorn is, but Sleeper is still going to be a very viable weapon.

Sleeper can hold more ammo then the ghorn.

I will still prefer sleeper in solar burn strikes/nightfalls where the boss has a huge crit spot. But yeah gally will probably take over for most people

Bungie did say the sleeper is ghorns comp and when roi comes out we will find out

Sleeper will remain the boss damage dealer. Gally will be useful against mobs or things like Major captains and wizards.

You do of course realise that the Rise of Iron Gjallarhorn will be a shadow of its year 1 counterpart. Bungie have commented on this in their recent interview with Edge magazine and I they've also clarified these comments on IGN's most recent Fireteam Chat, yea 3 Gjallarhorn will be adjusted so that it "feels" powerful but it won't melt everything like it did in year 1. Bearing this in mind, I'm sure I there will be instances where the Sleeper Simulant will be the better weapon.
