Patrols
Patrols just simply don't have a lot going on. The Dreadnaught is a fun patrol zone because it has so many little secrets like the Silent Scream and Court of Oryx, but there still needs to be more.
One idea I saw on the Destiny section was a high level patrol that was like an original Nightfall. Tough enemies, good loot, and a kick to orbit if you died and were not revived. This idea may be a bit extreme, but something I would like is enemy strongholds. High level areas of the patrol zone with a chest or big boss at the end. Something to turn patrol from a weapons testing area to a fun event.
Patrol VIP Missions
For hunting down an important minion of the Darkness, it doesn't seem to urgent. We get a mission to take out an important minion of the darkness who is leading attacks on Guardians and when we go to kill them... It's a dreg or a shank.
The only mission that I felt really portrayed this well is when you have to eliminate Karrhis, Archon Rising. A giant Fallen miniboss crawls out of a wall, and that actually makes you feel like "Oh my god, I need to kill this guy. He's dangerous.". We need more missions like this, more missions to kill minibosses. Even if Ikora tells you that a dreg is dangerous, it doesn't feel like it. Karrhis does.
Elemental Weaponry
A lot of the community would like elemental primary weapons to return, and I agree with them. However, it's more complicated than just putting elements on raid primaries again.
I would suggest adding elements back to raid and Trials primary weapons, but also giving the option to make a legendary primary elemental. Solar/Arc/Void Cores could drop from high level activities such as Nightfalls, the Trials chest, raids, Iron Banner packages, etc. These would have to be rare as to still make raid loot worthwhile, but also wouldn't make all other primary weapons obsolete.
Rares to Legendaries
There are a lot of good looking rare weapons. And it would be awesome to be able to give rare weapons more use than turning them into weapon parts and armor materials. Right now rare weapons and armor are tossed aside immediately without a second thought. They should be more than temporary. We need a way to give them more use.
We could take the route of the element cores I listed above and add a rare material that would allow you to take rare weapons to legendary weapons. It would increase legendary variety and allow you to customize your look and playstyle even more than already.
Other Civilizations
In the Grimoire about classes, Titans are said to defend the City walls and Warlocks are said to be the warrior-scholars. Hunters roam the wilderness, hunting monsters and helping civilizations in the wild. These class specific jobs really aren't restricted just to the classes anymore; all classes hunt minions of the darkness, all classes help defend the city. But there's been absolutely nothing in game that mentions defending and guiding other civilizations to the City.
The community has been clamoring for a hoard mode for some time now. This could be the situation to base it on. It could be like the Titanfall hoard mode where you have and objective to defend. We could have a defend the objective mode and a classic "fight till you die" mode.
Combined Arms
Quite simply put, bring it back as its own playlist. The large maps, the vehicles, the turrets; it just isn't an experience you get in any other Crucible mode. Now you have to play Classic 6v6 to get it. Combined Arms was pretty much the staple of the Crucible in the Beta, now it has been tossed aside and almost forgotten. It needs to be brought back.
More exotic armor for the new subclasses
As of now, there are only 3 exotic armor pieces geared specifically for the 3 new subclasses, 1 for each subclass. I'd like to see more of these.
Dynamic Weather
It looks like we're going to be getting some of this with the Plaguelands, but it would be great to add to other planets as well too. I want sandstorms on Mars, heavy rain on Venus, things to make the planets feel more alive and different.
Vehicles in PvE
Vehicles other than the sparrow are fun parts to the game that almost never get utilized. Pikes almost never spawn except for very occasionally in the Forgotten Shore and some place on Venus that I haven't found yet. Heavy Pikes used to spawn on Venus but ever since the Taken King, those were removed. Interceptors are regularly found at certain places on Mars, but are limited in where you can take them.
Vehicles are underutilized. There is so much that you could find to do with them and so little that you are allowed to do with them. More common and frequent vehicle spawns would only help the game, so why not?
-----------------------------------------
These are just some ideas I came up with to improve the game. I purposely stayed away from weapon balancing no matter how much I wanted to get mad at the Universal Remote because I knew that would devolve into the PvP elitists telling everyone to stfu because their KDs are better.
These ideas were to improve the game we have currently. I have a lot of ideas as to where I would like to see Destiny go that would involve whole new planets and areas, and it will probably get its own post some time. This was just feedback on Destiny 1, not ideas for how I would make Destiny 2.

4 RespuestasI don't personally agree with Rare > Legendary infusion. The Rares are boring and serve only to tide me over til I get that sweet, sweet Legendary loot. Everything else, though? Spot on, my son. Have a bump.

the two people that disagree with all the ideas must hate fun or are giant trolls or both and in the case of hate fun go and make friends with Jon Wisnewski as he hates fun too

2 RespuestasThe only thing I don't agree with is class specific exotics, merely because while I play all three classes, some don't. This means that every class specific exotic not tied to their class is an exotic taken from the pool they would have had access to. The proof is in the fact that the taken king was proudly advertised with a massive number of exotics, but 12 of them were class specific (9 class items and three guns). You can bet that if the special edition class items had been general fare, there would have been three less exotic weapons.
