So, before the trolls get here and shit on this post with mindless bullcrap: I've been noticing an ever-increasing amount of whining about radar in Trials and Elim... Basically all crucible modes.
I get that this game isn't Call of Duty. I do. I love it for that fact. But I would also love to see a feature implemented that is akin to COD:
No radar unless you are currently firing your weapon +1 second. This would eliminate the need for whining "shotgun scrub can't flank me while I was hardscoped!" And much less of the "you only won because you prefired the corner we were rushing!" crowd.
Make map awareness and twitch reflex a thing again. Give the community a sense of watching each other's backs for choke points and flanking enemy. It can happen.
And the benefit is twofold! Hardscopers are much less likely to set up a tent if the do not have a constant radar alerting them to enemy movement!
Just saying, people rely on the radar far too much. Surely I can't be the only one. Whatcha think, guardians?
Edit: so far general consensus is to nerf fusion rifles. *shrug*

Editado por Haunter: 8/4/2016 8:59:14 PMNo radar gametypes are absolute trash imo, just promotes crouching around to not be heard by headsets and camping waiting for the other team to push, hated slayer pro on halo for this reason and because whoever sees the other first will win the gunfight (unless one is a lot more skilled) as by the time the other person registers someone firing they've already got 3 bursts to the back and are one shot

This just increases camping just like COD, but if you are into this type of gameplay just go play cod lol heck theres a new 1 coming out.....again. just don't bring that cancer style of play over here.

1 Respuestaslowly realized OPs post was originally about bacon, but he wanted to be relevant so he threw other crap in there to make it look interesting. You're not fooling anyone! lol

There's now an option to turn off your HUD. If that doesn't work for you, try covering the top left corner of your screen. Or better yet, only play inferno game modes.

3 RespuestasEditado por CookieNiki: 8/4/2016 11:34:53 PMLearn to use your radar or go play COD. The radar in Destiny PvP is perfectly OK the way it is, unless you wanna turn PvP matches into a shotgun camping fest.
-
Trials, yes. All modes, eh. I could go either way.
-
1 RespuestaI think your idea would hurt Destiny.

1 RespuestaI don't like your idea.

Yes hardscopers would decrease. But shotgun users would increase and it would probably be easier for them.

6 RespuestasThere is a no radar crucible mode.

1 RespuestaI think that radar should go away since everyone -blam!-ing crouch walks around the goddamn maps any -blam!-ing ways. I -blam!-ing hate this passive bullshit meta.
-
In Trials, I think that would be an excellent idea. It would definitely stop the *90% special weapon kills it has now. Unfortunately it won't happen cos...... 90%. *there or there abouts. statistics shmatistics

Can i have the Bacon now? Please, im Hungry :(
-
No more radar and ghosting in trials. That's it.
-
Id make an Inferno section (like hardcore) and a normal section (like Core) so there is best for both worlds, i understand you your question but thats how id solve it personally.
-
I used to be for "no radar".. Played a few games of inferno and quickly changed my mind.. the amount of shotgun camping is too much for me.. or a juggernaut/SC titan is on you without warning.. Nope.

3 RespuestasLearning how to use your radar effectively to your advantage is actually a skill. One that you are expected to use when playing the game. It was built into the game. If you're hardscoped and you get flanked by a shotgun, then learn to lower your sight occasionally to check it. There is no reason to cut out radar. If you hate your radar so much, turn it off in the hud or play Inferno.
