Upgrade Hard Light to Year 2?
I am level 40 light 239 and have one exotic. It is a year 1 Hard Light auto rifle. I was wondering if I should save marks up and upgrade it to year 2? Never used auto rifle much, but now use Shadow Price and am liking these weapons more.
I don't play that much and fear it will be a while before I get another exotic.....but 150 marks is a fair amount to spend (once I manage to get them).
Advice is appreciated. Thanks.

I wouldn't bother, as it would only boost your Light by a few points. I'd suggest focusing more on your armor, and a better Ghost shell (Court of Oryx has decent drop rates for rare shells). Ikora, the Warlock Vanguard mentor, is selling a chest piece with 280 Light (same as Hard Light), that will be far more useful than a weapon at this point.

It is an ok exotic, it is fun to use. If you play PVP you'll probably get frustrated using it as every weapon out there will be better. If you play PVE it is ok. There are legendaries that are far better than the exotic hard light. I have the year 1 and year 2 and I rarely use it. That is just my opinion. Good luck and use those 3oC often. You'll surely get some exotics to drop. Play Prison of Elders and Strikes where you are matched and use the 3oC and surely you'll get some more exotics.

Hard light is good i like it... It has its flaws i think its better for pve... I used it alot in pvp on my legacy profile
