Seriously, I run a 8 sense normally, but yesterday I tried a 3 for a few games and it was horrible. It was like waiting a whole year for my primary to finally get to my targets head. I don't know how the -blam!- you guys do it (especially the people who use 1, like how the -blam!- is that possible), but hats off to you. The amount of patience you guys must have is unreal.
Edit: Lol, this post got a bit more popular than I expected. Working on responding. If any of you guys are like me and like to just listen to music and read comments, I added something for you....
Edit 2: Trending bois. Keep it up people, some very interesting explanations you guys have. Reading through them all.
Edit 3: So I'm seeing a trend here. Almost all of the people who run low sensitivity do so because they need it to maintain accuracy (or they've seen good players that run low sense for sniping/shotgunning), and most of the people who run high sense do so because of their experience in other games, or their reaction time if better catered to moving swiftly. Also noticed that it sounded like a lot of people respond as though they think I main my shotgun....so their response was something along the lines of "lower sense helps with target acquisition for my primary and/or sniper." TBH, that is debatable, a lot of these high sense users are seemingly very good with snipers, and I myself do pretty well with a sniper (proof: http://destinytracker.com/destiny/medals/xbox/Ahryi).
Thanks for all the input guys, very interesting reading through your replies and seeing some people actually act pretty pissed over a simple, innocent question (and a compliment.) In conclusion, just run whatever sensitivity you want, no matter what weapons you use, you'll get used to it eventually, and no one can tell you otherwise.
Another edit: Tried out 7 for a couple of sweat series. I'm pretty sure I found my new sensitivity. Thanks to all who've responded, definitely turned into a interesting thread to read.

You just generally aim where your going before you zoom. If you do low sensitivity you have to be very efficient. That what the pros use when sniping tho a 3.
-
1 RespuestaI prefer 7 but I can't get how people play 10. I feel like I have to rely on the aim assist.
-
Low sensitivity is for more passive players, acquire target, aim, shoot, move on. It also hrlps with aiming whilst sniping. High sensitivity is better for close range engagements, where you dont need to acquire the target because hes already there, you just have to shoot him dead and move on.
-
I run 4 because it's easier to keep a steady aim while sniping (yeah ik oh my gosh a sniping bitch, in my defense I'm no that good so)
-
14 RespuestasI run 8 all the time, everytime I see someone trying to turn around with their low sensitivity I just laugh at them.
-
7 for me
-
4 Respuestasthe lower sensitivity the higher accuracy you get currently i played destiny on 3
-
I normally go by 8-10 and a friend of mine is running at 5 and I feel the difference. Honestly I started at 5 also when I got the game after a while it go to slow so I moved on. Currently I don't see a big point why playing on a low sensitivity is a problem in the game except in the PvP. If you're playing against faster players you're forced to play more in defense mode^^
-
I play on 2, and I can keep your head in my sights pretty easily.
-
You're just used to what you use. If you played at 3 for a while you'd just start to adapt to it and your reflexes would correspondingly change. It'd be no different if someone who was used to 3 went up to 8. They'd have a hard time not turning too fast.

Between 6 and 10 is the sweet spot.

5 RespuestasAsk PC Players + Myself how we play by swinging a mouse at a person's direction and somehow staying on target. Because I personally have no clue how I do it.
-
10 feels slow. I need 11
-
I play on 10 and i think that is slow.
-
I swear I'm quite the opposite, I don't know how you play with it that low. I'll put it to 3 and feel like I just gave my guardian sudden arthritis in everywhere. My guardian goes from being a well oiled war machine to needing some well off war machine oil. 6-7 still feels low to me, 10 is perfect and I can deal but, I come from CoD and am used to playing on (Extremely high) in CoD terms.
-
10 everything because anything lower than 8. I can't play at all. Feels too sluggish.
-
The same reason people can play on low sensitivity is the same reason people play on high.

5 RespuestasEditado por Erijian: 8/2/2016 4:10:35 AMIt feels easier to track targets on a lower sensitivity to me, and being a Fusion Rifle user I find it invaluable. The only downside is being unable to do quick 180s.
-
I play a 10 and snipes typically land, I also get bodyshots that count as headshots.
-
I use 4 and it's perfect for me. If I go higher I'll be missing my sniper shots
-
I use sensitivity 4. Anything more and the use of snipers becomes problematic. It's a bit small for shotties, but all in all a best all around sensitivity. If you have the nerves for it the best option would be snipers 4 and shotties 6 (max), but i simply don't like to change stats every two games. People with 10 are just crazy. I know only one really, really good player, who uses 9. If i have to give advice - use the highest sensitivity setting with which you are still accurate and can land those headshots. If you start missing a lot of shots, lower immediately.
-
I play on 3 all the time. You get used to it.
-
1 RespuestaMy thumbs are aggressive a.f now I have to keep it low to stay accurate .
too much fingering
-
High for shotgunners and othe close range players and low for precision long range players.
-
2 RespuestasI don't see how you play on a high sensitivity 5 is max for me and reserved for shotgunning
-
I play on 3 lol
