Fixing Trials of Osiris. (Repost)

Okay, Now before any of you go into the comments before reading the post to say things like "Trials isn't Broken" or "Get off the forums you 400elo scrub, you dont know what youre talking about." I am not saying it is broken, but that it could benifit from change, So hear me out. There are many players who go flawless several times a week, and to these players; The current matchmaking system works. They can go up against players signifigantly lower than them in skill and completely demolish. I like to think of myself as somewhat of an above average player (Not to the extent of some people of course), But I struggle to find teams willing to stay through trials because We face a 1700 elo team once or twice and they leave. Because of this, I feel like it happens to others as well and has probably caused many players to give up entirely on trials because they dont believe they have a hope of making it to the fabled lighthouse. Because of these aformentioned situations, I suggest a change to the matchmaking system. To my knowledge, The matchmaking system works based off of; Progress through the card, and Connection. Because of this, player skill is mostly ignored and many bad teams get stomped by better players. But I believe that there is a very simple solution to make trials a better environment for everybody. The solution I propose reworks the matchmaking system. I believe it would work better if the Matchmaking was Semi Skill based. If the system was as such; Many worse teams would be playing against other bad teams and the matches would be much closer, As well as giving them a chance to go to the lighthouse that they would otherwise not have. I believe that this would make trials more enjoyable for higher skill players as they would actually face a challenge in going flawless. Obviously this system would be flawed in that it could be manipulated by players on other accounts, or players that sandbag their stats to face worse players. In conclusion, I feel that this would make trials a better experience for everybody involved. Many of you will make the argument that its supposed to be a competitive game mode and that players should get better to adapt; and I believe that this argument doesnt work. Many players main PvE content, or simply dont have the time to contantly play in the crucible to get better and adapt to the constantly changing meta. (Tl;dr, You thought you wouldnt have to read the entire post when you saw this xD) [Final note, This is my first post on the Bungie forums and Im posting from mobile...Any format changes would be appreciated, and try to be civil in the comments] -The RNGenie Edit: Obviously many of you arent reading the entire post. If you go into the comments and say things like "If youre bad, you shouldnt go flawless." Then get off this post; youre missing the entire point. Edit2: For clarification purposes, I am not proposing this idea to make trials easier, and not so bad players can go flawless. This idea stems from the fact that many fairly good teams farm their first ~5 games against people signifigantly better than they are. This is not to make trials easier, this is not anything to do with a goddamn participation medal. This is because it reality, Many teams only have to try for the last 2-3 matches of the card, This is uncompetitive. That was the point of my post, again; not so bad players could go flawless. Trials has been out long enough that going flawless isnt an achievement, and thus I believe that all players who make an attempt to get better, should be able to at least try to scratch and claw their way to the lighthouse by facing players of equal skill. This would not allow for easy 5-0 wins as the current system does, And would make trials into a semi-competitive game mode again. If youre one of the players who says that if youre bad you deserve bad results, youre probably benefitting from the current system and realllyyyy proud of the 3 difficult matches it took you on the weekend to go flawless. If you have any comments about bad players not putting in time to get better, youre still missing the point; because if they dont put in time to get better, they will face people who put in some amount of time, and they will lose. If any of you can give reasoning for why trials shouldnt be this way (other than bad players dont deserve nice things regardless of effort) Then you have no business posting here, and youre just trying to keep your E-Peen at its current size by saying you can go flawless against bad players.
