Hey deej or cozmo I have a suggestion that would benefit everyone!
I read an article recently that rocket league will soon be completely cross platform for all players (Xbox, ps4 & PC) and this got me thinking... How awesome would it be if destiny followed suit?
This needs to happen in games like destiny. It shouldn't matter what system you own. Let's break down the walls! F@&k the console wars... Destiny for all I say!!!!
Edit: for the record, I'm not saying there should be cross platform including PC for destiny... I was just using rocket league as the example.
The community seems pretty split by this idea. Yes exclusivity deals are difficult to overcome but as an overall concept it would be good for everyone.
It would be nice if people could put aside their fanboy opinions and look at the bigger picture. The differences between the 2 consoles is negligible, and it really doesn't matter if you're a Sony or Microsoft player... We are all gamers yo!

1 RespuestaIf they did, I would dump my xbone.
-
What makes you think deej or cozmo have control over if the game is cross platform or not?
-
16 Respuestasthe Playstation and Xbox crucibles are on completely different levels. sony players would not want to play against the microsoft guys.
-
I'm locked and loaded, ready to mow down some Xbone guardians with my PlayStation exclusive weapons .
-
Yup. I want to kill xbox players with my jade rabbit
jk
-
Sony wanted to do that for a while. But MS said no. Now they re opened that. I may be a xbox player but MS did that hopeing to save face I think. And I'm cool with the Playstation exclusive items. It's just business. It's a cosmetic change, not game breaking if it happens that Playstation and xbox players play together.

6 RespuestasI doubt it will happen but cross platform PSN and XBL play would rock (leave PC out of the mix though, this game is meant to be played with a controller). I'm one of only a few of my friends who jumped the XBox ship when PS4 came out, in terms of software and exclusives I made the right choice, but it's made getting a group of my usual suspects a problem and Destiny a bit lonely.
-
Both Sony and Microsoft won't allow it.
-
2 RespuestasAdd PC into the mix and let's get a huge community going!
-
9 RespuestasSony are greedy. Don't get your hopes up :/
-
3 Respuestassure as long as xbox players get access to the ps exclusives, it wouldnt be fair to see one player killing you with a weapon that is literally impossible to obtain
-
They can't do to exclusive content
-
I know! It would be awesome but they're never gonna do it

Ayy we could use some PlayStation noobs on Xbox, it gets really competitive over here sometimes. :(
-
8 RespuestasBungie cant make this happen even if they wanted to. They make games. Sony own the psn servers. Its up to sony to open psn to cross platform play. Microsoft have already gone on record as saying they'd do it. So ya never know man.
-
2 RespuestasIf Bungie stopped with the PS exclusive garbage then it might be possible. Jeez, I hope Sony didn't pay Bungie even more for Destiny 2. Seriousely. It's really annoying.
-
Well their main concern with doing such a thing was due to certain advantages that the current gen have over last gen but considering they're now dropping last gen, aside from the whole exclusive deals... It should be at least more plausible...
-
6 RespuestasHow does that work when I'm popping you in the face with Jade Rabbit, but you don't have it... because you know... console exclusive...
-
" I DONT HAVE ANYTHING ELSE TO DO, IM A SPECIAL SNOWFLAKE"
-
Bungie can barely manage servers on the separate systems. I really don't think they're ready to try to manage pairing the two and managing the issues that would involve.
-
Cross Platform play would be great except for the whole 1 year exclusive items. There also cannot be cross platform with the pc on Destiny as Bungie didn't release it on the pc which really did annoy me as I wanted to play it on pc instead I had to get it on the Xbox. As it is on Rocket League, you can thank Sony for the Cross Platform not being implemented yet as they are the ones holding it back, and to be honest I could see them doing the same thing if Bungie wanted to make Destiny Cross Platform.
-
1 RespuestaYesssssssss Cross platform Lag! Just.... Only imagine a game with skill base matchmaking between platforms juajuajua LAGFEST!!
-
I doubt Bungie would be against this either, cross platform support only makes their game more appealing but the problem isn't them, it's Sony and MS.
-
From what I've read and heard they are trying to cross platform more than just Rocket League. That was more of a test to see how it would go.

Editado por Senor Crouch: 7/29/2016 5:52:38 AMIf I could I'd upvote this all day long. I would definitely like to play with all of my Destiny friends. I know Playstation has exclusives which would prevent Xbox users from playing certain things or acquiring certain weapons or armor BUT HEY! Bungie hasn't had a problem doing that before! Taken King is proof that not only is it possible but that Bungie has had a willingness to do so! Anyone here remember Taken King Week 1 Nightfall? "Sorry non-TTK users, you just won't have access to it this week." See? It can happen, exclusives and all. Make cross-play happen Bungie!
