or decode now? Thoughts on whether it is worth waiting to decrypt them now or wait. By waiting, will it help increase light level quicker? I have heard conflicting answers.
Thanks for your input.

It has happened before and I'm sure it can happen again. Start doing it now that we have the update, if your going to do it then it should count now if ever.

Save them. If they dont decrypt at a higher light level or new exotics you can break them down for legendary marks plus they level up your cryptarch. Use your legendary marks to by gear from a vender to help you level up a little faster, break down decrypted items for more marks, and then buy more gear. If you have all that you need now you arent hurting anything by keeping them until the update and who knows, bungie might just let them decrypt at the new light level which would be a plus. I have almost a full page of exotic armor engrams in my vault at the moment with about 20 weapons exotic engrams, I am hoping for the best but I am ok if they drop 335 and year two since I can break them down or infuse them as needed. Good luck.

5 RespuestasDo one better and save your strange coins 310 is my count ATM

exotics are tied to the expansion they drop in, house of wolves blues and legendaries couldnt be opened the week before it came out even though you could get them, the engrams wont give anything worthwhile unless you save a primary and special for the ps exclusives thatll come, all theyll be useful for is leveling up the cryptarch which frankly isnt worth it

2 RespuestasThey are time stamped, tried it in the last DLC

3 RespuestasEditado por Rayvonhotred69: 7/8/2016 4:07:16 AMI would still save them for Rise of Iron. though you will still get year 2 exotics only, they rank up the krypton reputation very quickly, thus having an chance to get year 3 gear drops.
-
I'm saving them since they should decrypt at higher light levels.
-
Do you need anymore 335 exotics right now?
-
I'm wondering about legendary because my vault is full with those

2 RespuestasPast history was that any updates that occurred your saved engrams would decrypt into the higher light level items. Paid expansions, they would not. ROI is a paid expansion so if history holds true the engrams will all be time stamped and won't decrypt at higher level. Edge your factions, gunsmith, crucible, vanguard and even save bounties to turn in September 20th. Increasing rank in these areas has always yielded the higher light level items.

Dlc will not change them to ROI gear. Will still be TTK gear. Updates are what you save them for. But of course there is always cryptarc level packages you can get with them. So your choice.

I was gonna hold some over, but I needed them to help get my light up.
-
Won't work, don't bother.

In the past saving engrams did not work with expansions. They did work with the Year 2 updates however those were not paid expansions. I'm not saving any personally.
