"No. You don't need to die. And I won't let you die if I have the power to stop it. Besides, I got my fists. And my mind bullets."
She smirks.
"We can take them on. Don't you have a spare gun I could use?"

"Left side, laspistol. And for the record, I'd gladly do it."

"Eh... in that case, I'll abstain. I'll focus on my pyskic powers."

"Let's hope that's enough." He said as the shapes of the shades crept out of the darkness.

"I think I have a way to clear them out. Just give me a second or two." She crouched behind the corner, her eyes shut and her mind focusing.

The shades threw themselves against the shield of the tribune but he held them at bay. His sword flicking out to stab every now and again.

Moments later, she emerged from the corner, her eyes were solid violet. She stared down the shades. As if her head had become a Tesla coil, sparks of purple lightning shot from her scalp, zapping into the shades. Whomever they struck would be flayed in a split second, the psykic energy rendering bone, flesh, metal and chaos energy to ashes and cinders. Not only that, but in the same split second, the surge of power would arc from one being to another. A very efficient means to clear a room of opponents.

He backed away from the shades as they were killed by whatever it was she was doing, for fear of it arcing into him.

It arced all the way to the last shade, where the current dissipated. "Phew!" She closed her eyes, shook her head and re-opened them, they were back to normal. "Mind bullets."

The tribune surveyed the damage ahead of him, and sheathed his sword. "Well, that seems, final"

"Good... cause right about now I'm getting a headache..." She shook her head. "Will your dudes be getting here anytime soon? I don't think I can pull another stunt this bad for the next... couple of hours at best?"

The sound of armor clanking and men running filled the hall as forty men came barreling into the room. They observed the carnage before them and are off put, the nervously look to their tribune and to the giant woman.

"Phew! Thank god I'm wearing clothes." She looked down at the Tribune. "Erm... is it ok if I... tell them what to do for a bit? Or if it's all up to you, I have no problems. Just... just want to make things simple is all."

The tribune thought, then pulled his sword out and pointed to the woman. "This woman, is the daughter of the emperor, and rightful heir to the empire. What do you say? Will you pledge your sword to her?" The answer was a chorus of forty men shouting an raising their swords. "There is your answer."

She smiled. "Alright... not too bad." She stood in front of them. "Alright fellas, simple little task for you. As you can see, I am without armour. I suspect worshippers of chaos took it, and brought it to their lair. I would go retrieve it alone, but I'm afraid I am in need of your help. Now, I am somewhat unfamiliar with your particular tactics, so I will leave the course of the battle up to you. Their settlement is organized as such: Huts and shacks are placed in a circular disposition around a central sacrificial pit. No outer defenses."

The tribune nodded. "I can have a hundred and sixty more men here soon. From there we will encircle them and attack from there."

"Oh, we won't need that many. These guys will be just fine." She turned to face them. "Well then... follow me! I guess." She guides the men towards the hideout.

The legionnaires follow her, the tribune following closely behind her.

They arrive into the room, it was the layout she had described. All of the cultists were standing around the pit, taken hold in some mad chantings to the dark gods.

The men encircled the camp, and crouched. They waited for the signal, the tribune blew a whistle and they launched a volley of grenades

The grenades flew past the shacks and around the circle. Most of them were caught in the ensuing blast, only a very few of them managed to avoid the blast just in time.

The legionaries were already on the move, in unison they marched forward and drew swords.

The cultists, given time to rise, drew their lasguns and blades, eager to clash with the enemies and spill blood, in the name of chaos.

The lasbolts hit shields, glancing off or being absorbed into the shield. The legionnaires advanced and soon closed the distance. They engaged in close quarters combat, slashing and stabbing. They made short work of the remaining cultists.

Their corpses littered the floor, in puddles of blood. Well hey, at least they got to spill blood, right? Ariel then begins frantically searching the cabins. "C'mon... c'mon... where is it?!"

The tribune checks the sacrificial circle, following his gut.
