I made a post yesterday about saving money for a PC or getting a handheld gaming device, as I am away a good bit. I've now decided I like the idea of tge handheld system, but now I can't decide which one.
Help me out!

Neither.

There is a portable steam 'machine' coming out in November called the Steamboy for $299 USD. Kinda expensive imo but it'd be cool to play a lot of the games like Stardew valley on the go.
-
If you have a ps4,consider the vita. If you have good internet, you can play your ps4 from your vita over WiFi. Turn it on and everything from the vita. Basically, ps4 in your pocket. Pretty nice. As for the system itself, not a whole lot of great games. Really its biggest plus is the portable ps4 part. If you don't have a ps4, probably go for the 3ds
-
I'd say 3ds. I recently got one and i really like it. It has a great library of games. You can also buy nes games from eshop and snes if you get the newest version. I itself don't have too many games but i like them all. Those games i have are: Pokemon alpha sapphire Mario kart 7 Pilotwings resort Fire emblem fates birthright

I was thinking about the same thing a while back, though I never bought. I had decided to go 3DS for a variety of reasons. One of the main things was some access to a completely different library. I have a PS4, but the 3DS would have given me the chance to play some versions of the Nintendo games i wouldn't otherwise get to.

I've literally never heard of the PSvita until this post. 3DS is awesome though.
-
I'll trade you my VITA for a cookie
-
Psvita was awesome I bought it but it's pretty much dead right now :( so 3ds for sure
-
5 RespuestasGo with the cheaper option and get a 2DS. You probably won't use the 3D feature all the time anyway
-
Vita is dead.

10 RespuestasRemote play, and the JRPGs are cool... But as some who owns a vita, I can't go telling you to get a vita.
unless you can jailbreak it. You totally get perma banned for that though if you get caught.
-
There are far too many solid games to justify buying a Vita over a 3DS. The 3DS is also backwards compatible with games from the previous Nintendo DS as well. If you go to a used game store, you can pick up some pretty solid older games as well for pretty cheap.
-
7 RespuestasI have both don't play either anymore. The idea of psvita is amazing, the library I'm afraid is not, unless you have remote play with the ps4. 3DS = Pokemon! Should I say more?
-
Play both and to be fair, Vita isn't bad but the best games are jrpgs and visual novels. 3DS is excellent, I love Pokémon and Fire Emblem and just for these franchises it's already worth it, plus Mario Kart, Smash Bross, Zelda.... and some people are extreme addicted to Monster Hunter games.

Vita is dead

1 RespuestaI never owned a Vita, but I did own a PSP back in the day. And I gotta say, I had more fun with Gameboys than I did with my PSP. I currently have a New 3DS and I love it.
-
3DS. I regret buying a PSVita 100%.
-
Vita is probably on top of my list of electronics that I had a really bad case of buyers remorse for. I couldn't recommend it to anyone.
-
Unless you're really into JRPGs or your general Japanese game frameworks, go 3ds. It's got much more variety for a western market on account of Nintendo's unique franchises, plus a good deal of the stuff the Vita might have. The Vita has its good games, yeah, but unless you're really a diehard fan of the stuff you can expect from it I'd go with Nintendo.
-
3ds has a better game collection, but I still enjoy the vita, mostly for older PlayStation titles because I don't have a ps4
-
Lolvita. Such a useless piece of hardware.
-
New 3ds, the vita is pretty much dead

4 RespuestasEditado por Psychic Donuts: 6/30/2016 3:07:42 PMGet a PC.
If you must insist on a handheld. The Vita is a useless piece of shit compared to the DS. This is coming from someone who owns one.
2 RespuestasIf you have a ps4 there is absolutely no reason for a Vita, unless you like the portability. Otherwise get a 3DS.
-
5 RespuestasGet a new 3ds. Besides all of the current game to play, Nintendo is constantly releasing older ports. I have many of the old Zelda games on mine.
