It is more like a human than a cat...you must be thinking of Kajit from Elder Scrolls. Just google image it and you'll see what I mean. Sorry to disappoint you after getting your hopes up.

Don't worry, I know how you feel. If I became a Gem, everyone would be asking me about my weird piercing, and I'd have to explain to them that it's not a piercing, it's the center of my being. But despite that, it'd be so worth it! ^-^ (especially if I was a half-Gem, and could fuse with humans)

Yeah but, at least where I live, weird piercings are relatively normal. Now if your skin was a weird color that would raise some eyebrows. I would need to find a way to explain the ears and tail, or I could try and hide it.

My skin might be a weird color.. It does depend on what Gem I'd go with. Rubies have red skin, Sapphires, and Lapis have blue, Peridot's have green, Pearls are pale.. Being a half-Gem (preferably Lapis) would probably give me normal skin color, though.. Hm.. You could say that you ate too many cats and this is what you've become! :D
