So there's a meme floating around and I'm curious to see what yall think the answer is.
1+4=5
2+5=12
3+6=21
8+11=?
I'm telling you its 96. If you got 40, you are lazy with math. The spoiler is my wall of a reason.
[spoiler]
Multiply the second number by the first, then add the first and you get the answer.
1+4 = 5
1 + (4X1) = 5
2 + 5 =12
2 + (2x5) = 12
3+6 = 21
3+(3x6) =21
Follow that pattern and you get
8+11=?
8 + (8x11) = 96
Also for the ones that got 40 you skipped the pattern completley
It goes up in increments of 1 yet if you subtract the addition side you always get 3.
So 1+4 is 5, 5 + (2+5) is 12, 12 + (3+6) is 21, etc. Below is what happens if you continue with the addition instead of multiplication.
1+4 = 5
2+5 = 12
3+6 = 21
4+7 = 32
5+8 = 45
6+9 = 60
7+10 = 77
8+11 = 96
You still get 96

Don't read the spoiler.
I mean I can't stop you but tell me what other random math memes you've seen full of rushed answers?

1 RespuestaSir, I'm sorry to say, but I don't think you understand math as that "+" sign doesn't mean that.

The dumb-blam!- that created this forgot to put the variables in.
