They will face the wrath of my traps. If guns are banned, then I should be able to carry four knives at all times to protect myself from people.

Cars aren't weapons that people commonly use to cause harm to others intentionally. Guns are designed to kill and the people that point a gun at someone and pull the trigger want that person to die. And while using a gun to kill you are planning on going out and killing. You can accidentally run off the road and kill someone, sober or not.

3 RespuestasBut with drunk driving we didn't blame cars we blamed alcohol i believe they did a good job in spreading awareness having don't drink an drive commercials,and signs everywhere they even raised the penalty for getting a dui. I don't think there's a fix but we can definitely reduce gun violence just got to find ways

8 Respuestasyeah but in the US you practically need a car to get around. It makes life possible. Guns, you don't need. There are so few opportunities in which you will need a gun to protect yourself. And besides, if someone has a gun out already and you pull your own gun, you're liable to get shot yourself.

Though I agree it's the shooter at fault, not the weapon itself, I still believe countries who are lenient without them would be better off without them. I could be wrong about this though: the reason some people from The United States Of America defend guns has nothing to do with [i]protecting themselves from the government[/i] or whatever excuse they use these days, rather they just [i]like[/i] the weapon. [i]A gun is not something I need but I'm going to buy one anyway just for the sake of owning one, holding it, admiring it etc., if someone challenges my decision to own a firearm or my country's minimum restrictions of firearms, I'm going to oppose them not because I think a gun is a necessity of life, rather because I "like" them, just like I do my dog or Xbox.[/i]

I don't think anyone one of sound mind blames the gun itself. The argument is the gun's effectiveness in enabling crazy people to kill in high numbers.
