PvP is boring enough already. Why not just make things BETTER instead of driving every weapon type into the ground like people have been asking you to since TTK ruined primary weapons?
Special weapons are so prevalent because all of our primaries shoot literal nerf bullets, you can't say "snipers are overused" or "shotguns are overused" and nerf the ammo of them, yet be blind to the fact that you caused it by making it so we couldn't fight back without having our own, c'mon now. People glitched special ammo in Trials when you took special ammo away on spawn because the slow time-to-kill of primaries isn't good enough to deter special weapons. Primaries used to be a reliable counter to special (and hell even heavy) weapons if you were good enough. Skill was more prevalent back then than in even this garbage matchmaking (which is meant to be BASED on skill), if the sniper/shotgunner/fusion rifler wasn't good at their job, they got annihilated by the primary weapon they challenged. Now that's no longer the case, a sniper misses their shot? Oh no worries they'll have two or three more attempts before someone finally whittles their health down enough to force them out of the battle. Shotgunner misses his first shot? No problem, just shoot a couple more shots and you'll finally kill the guy who's barely got you down to half health with a primary.
THIS GAME WAS NOT IN ANY WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM BUILT TO BE COMPETITIVE. SO JUST MAKE IT FUN AGAIN. PUT MATCHMAKING BACK TO HOUSE OF WOLVES STATUS, BUFF PRIMARIES, BUFF SPECIAL AMMO, GIVE BACK THE HEAVY AMMO IN 6V6, BUFF TRIPMINES AND WHATEVER ELSE JUST GOT NERFED, AND PUT CRUCIBLE BACK TO HOW IT FUNCTIONED IN VANILLA. THE MESSY, OVER-THE-TOP, RIDICULOUS PVP IT WAS OBVIOUSLY MEANT TO BE. #Disappointment /Rant
Edit: For anyone who says "why don't you mention the buffs to PvE"
I'm a PvPer, yes I'm happy about the PvE buffs, but they don't really impact me. I'd rather focus on how PvP went from being fast-paced, varied and fun to full-second kill times, slow gameplay, specials being as effective as they are due to weak primaries, too much of an emphasis on teamshotting, and a battlefield full of literal nerf guns.
Edit: Jesus f**king hell I go to sleep and wake up to 113 notifications... Welp
You guys broke my notifications lol gg
NEW BALANCING IDEA:
-Go into Crucible in the director, instead of going into what we have now, you have 5 choices: Vanilla, TDB, HoW, the week between HoW and TTK, and TTK.
-You choose one, this is the state of Crucible that you will play in, once you select it you have a few game modes (maybe 3 random in each) to choose from (have a rotating system where they change each week) and you can go play in the era you want
-Your weapons, supers, grenades, all function as they would have at that time
-After a few months, Bungie look at the data (yes I'm telling them to actually use their data properly for once), they look to see which era had the most people engaged for the longest time, etc, and then adjust the next patch more in the direction of the most popular era
15 RespuestasEditado por Ankokuseibutsu: 6/14/2016 11:58:20 AMIt requires more gunskill now and I love the way crucible is. Each gunfight has more drama and maneuvering and actual gun play involved. The only people that would disagree would be people who relied on broken blink shotgun/ thorn/ tlw weapons that took literally no skill to use. So, is it slower paced? I'd say yes and no. I get consistent 40+ kill games now and they are really satisfying because I actually earn each kill instead of blinking around the map with felwinters and two tapping with broken weapons. Go play cod if you want faster kill times and less overall drama with each exchange of bullets. Or you could get better positioning and gunskill and stop complaining. I prefer a unique experience with each battle and kill I earn with this new crucible. Get used to it, it isn't going anywhere. Now if you want to talk about how crappy sbmm is and the red bar warriors and global matchmaking in p2p game. I agree it's garbage and needs to change immediately. However the mechanics on the way the guns work is the best it's ever been.
