If I had known we were getting dropped before Destiny 2, I would've gotten an Xbone sooner.
But this is unacceptable.
We were told Destiny 1 would be Last-gen, and now, in third quarter of its life, after investing over $100 in the game, Bungo is taking Destiny from us, without warning.
So stop insisting that last-genners are plebs, noobs, and poor. We just assumed Destiny 1 would be on 360. [u]All of Destiny 1[/u].
Sure, if I had known it would be violently ripped from us right after one of its biggest updates, I would have made preparations. But I don't have enough time to save up enough to get an Xbone, a new copy of Destiny TTK, and a new headset.
So instead of fighting us, you should be fighting [b]beside[/b] us, the ones who invested so much in a dying version of the game [u][i]that we didn't know was dying. [/i][/u]
Bungie has until September to port Rise of Iron to 360. I hope they do.
And I hope you next-genners want that too.

2 RespuestasBungie has simply run out of options. Their hand was forced with the delay of Destiny 2. They either had to face a year and a half content drought, or drop last gen to produce more meaningful content. Also, by the way, the servers for old gen will still run after august. You just won't be getting new content. If you care so much about RoI, go get a job and work for it.

Let's find out!( by the way, everything under this is just a copy because I got tired of typing the same thing on 10 different threads. Sorry if it seems a little harsh) Ok, Lets do some math. -To get the base game, TDB, HoW, and the Taken King you only have to pay $30 at GameStop right now. All of your progress will carry over so now you just have to worry about the console and ROTL. -Rise of the Iron releases September 20. That's about 14 weeks and 4 days from now. -An Xbox one cost around $300 dollars alone and the PS4 cost a little more than that. Let's just say they both cost $300 dollars. -$300/14.5 weeks=$20.69 You need to make about 21 dollars each week. But let's add in Rise of the Iron which is $30. So in all you need Destiny and all expansions, a new console, and the new DLC. So $360 in total. -$360/14.5=$24.83 So now you need about 25 dollars a week for almost 15 weeks. Or about $3.60 a day for 15 weeks. -Now, you can get a cheaper console if you get it pre owned. Then you can sell your old console to get even closer. TL;DR: you have 15 weeks to get $360 to buy a new console, Destiny and all it's expansion, and the new DLC. This isn't including Xbox live or PlayStation plus. You may all have your reasoning for not getting it sooner and that's cool. But it has been about 3 years since they came out, so we all knew this day would come when last gen would be cut out. It is unfortunate that it happened now, but there is nothing we can do about that

Violently? You're being dramatic here. Isn't there a sale on Destiny that comes with TTK? The legendary edition I think? It's like $29.85 on PSN for me. They're not going to port it over, and there's probably a reason for that. We'll find out that reason when it drops.

1: bungie never said we would get continous content up to destiny 2, so we should be happy we're are getting this. 2: they never said they'd keep last gen until Destiny 2 either. Most assumed it, but it wasn't a fact. 3: Bungie gave you your warning. It's 3 months. 4: your console is over 10 years old and current gen is 3 years old. The fact that old-gen networking services are being phased out should have been a dead giveaway that PS3 / 360 would cease to be supported. Cessation of 6th gen (PS2/original Xbox) support took less time than this.

1 RespuestaYou can't blame Bungie for this to be honest. When Microsoft decided to stop producing the 360 they were telling game producers that they will stop supporting the system very soon. Why should game producers keep supporting old gen systems when the companies making them aren't? Sony will likely follow suit very soon. As I've been telling ppl all week, this move was inevitable. Old gen is being left behind. If your finances are so tight that you have not been able to upgrade after 3 years then maybe it's time for you to realize that you probably shouldn't be wasting money on video games to begin with. GET YOUR PRIORITIES IN ORDER!!

They said in the weekly you will be able to do that or something like it. Take a read, you'll see. I play on PS3 and Xbone and I gotta say it's a damn good thing last gen is being left behind. Good riddance.

They got rid of legacy consoles because the old consoles hardware cant handle their ideas for Rise of Iron. The same thing happen with Borderlands and forced that team to make DLCs not as worthwhile and had to take out things like guns, tools, and some other things. Bungie had to choose between make further expansions very underwelming or get rid of the old gen consoles. Qhich would you have choose in a lose-lose situation.

I have 4 xbox ones..... Me and my wife dont make a lot. we still afford our payments and still do everything we are supposed to do. It isnt hard to not buy extra stuff so you can save for one.

I'm on ps4 in the UK, but we've still got to band together to keep this game alive. It must start moving to next gen now, as I believe we'll be waiting a lot longer for destiny 2 than we think.
