There should be a scaling timer for players who consistently leave consecutive matches. Regardless of game type.

Instead of punishing, why not incentivise instead?

4 RespuestasI agree, I believe that this should be fixed. I also agree with the statement that this should be a casual game, but It would make sense if Bungie could make a way to penalize players, without major suspension or ban. They should implement a timer or a Crucible freeze. This would be a timer a player must wait to play another match. This time should increase every time the player leaves. ( and yes Im saying it should stack). I strongly believe this would urge players to stay in a match. Some questions you may have would be... Q. What if they have to go? (Emergency, or other reasons). A. Then it is very likely that by the time the player gets back the timer would have reset. Q. What if the power goes out? A. When the power is restored the player will sign in and will be able to jump right back in. No problems will be encountered. To my knowledge Bungie had made a statement about having technology that can show if a players interference is a legitimate issue. So if the problem is done by natural cause a penalty will not be tacked on to your Destiny experience. Q. What about error codes? A. That is Bungie's doing, that is easily fixable. Q. How many times can this "stack up"? A. It will stack up to a max of 5 times. Giving players ample opportunities to stay in the game. Any thing above 5 will become more severe. If you are wondering about time restrictions... 1: 5:00 minutes 2: 10:00 minutes 3: 20:00 minutes 4: 40:00 minutes 5: 1 hour and 20:00 minutes 6: 1 days suspension. Etc. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask. I do care. When you're playing a game in the Crucible you should feel that you will not have player drop-outs and feel that you can go through a match without losing because for half a game it was a "6 v. 3". Bungie really needs to implement this into the game. It should be a change that doesn't push players away. A message to those who strongly disagree with me... Think if you rage out, or leave for no reason. If you think this is going to push you away because you won't get to leave when ever you feel like it, then try and realize if you have the audacity to leave then you should get penalized. If you think you are above everyone else, then why play Crucible at all? When I say this, i can speak for many other people, we only want whats best for this game. We don't spend hours on Destiny so have something to do. (Some might). But we do things, and we say things so this way Bungie can make this game better.

No this is supposed to be a casual game.
-
If I spawn in on a team getting stomped I will leave. If I am up against a 6 man team and I'm just trying to play a casual game, I will leave. If I run into 2 or more redbar gods I will leave. I paid for this game and you can't tell me how to play it :)

No. Quit being such a try hard.
-
Nobody owes you their time, get over it. If you want that, go play counter strike.
-
1 RespuestaIf I spawn into an unbalanced, near-loss, or laggy match, I have the right to leave.
-
You forget that skill based matchmaking and bungies desire for everyone to maintain close to a 50/50 win loss ratio puts skilled players into some matches they cannot win because they won the last 2 games. It will place them on a team with less skilled PvP players and put them against higher skilled PvP players who proceed to curb stomp them making it no fun all because bungie wants people to lose as much as they win. I don't know of any other game that does this either.

2 RespuestasWhy not add increased rep gains after starting AND completing ___ games?
-
Some people don't have a choice, they might get beetled babooned or weaseled cause the crucible is done by fuk ups.
-
Although I agree this one reason why I do pvp in 3s or more I just wish we could kick those afk people or ram a stick down there mouth to make them play.
-
1 RespuestaHow about no. I'm not sitting in a match with people that couldn't hit the broad side of a damn barn.

You see as great of an idea that is there is one problem... There is this thing called life and it just forces me to quit so many games and there is just no reasoning with it What I am saying here is that whether it is connection, family, or work chances are you are not going to be able to stick with every match and in the case of connection you are definitely going to have a greater chance of disconnecting consecutively you might be thinking that I should plan ahead or something which would make sense if it were not for the fact that Bungie is mainly a casual game and there is really only one highly competitive mode which is Trials and in that case you just need to choose better teammates who wont leave you in Trials
-
Agreed. Punishment for quitting matches will reduce the frequency that players are getting dropped into games in progress

I'm not a big fan of ditching a team..only when the team I'm on can only get 3-4 kills...I've been mercied countless times and some days I'm on a team that mercies..you can tell 99% of the time the success rate of your team mates by the equipment they use..I know I'm guilty of using test weapons or experimenting with sub par time to kill weapons..people who leave early because of losing should go down in rank with the crucible or their faction..50% to each..my two cents.

No. Bungie's choice of bad SBMM is what makes people leave. I hardly ever leave a match but when I get left alone, way outmatched, my friend gets error coded, SBMM put me against a team of 4.0 k/d with my team a .5 k/d, or any of the other reasons for dropping a game mid match (error coded, some one at the door, phone call, etc.) I should not be punished for dealing with real life first game second.
