A woman was seen inside, red hair, garbed in nothing but what appeared to be a jumpsuit
The computer flashed
>Begin chamber shutdown?
>Y/N
English
-
She ponders a bit, taking glances at both the computer and the woman inside. "Someone should" she thinks out loud. But then again ... She shakes the thought aside along with every bit of hesitation before reaching for the computer and shutting the chamber down.
-
A loud hiss is heard, as the chamber begins to shut down A warning flashes then >Caution, subject was last released 1016 years ago, possible memory loss can happen The chamber hisses then, as a mechanism lifts the chamber walls up, revealing the woman inside
-
"What have I done" was the first thing she said as she heard the hiss resound. Too late for rational thought now She turned back to the now open chamber and examined the woman. An entire mellinia she thought as she stared.
-
She was silent for a moment, before jerking awake, her body snapping to life immediately She breaths hard, looking around before locking eyes with the stranger before her "Who the hell are you?! Where the hell am I?!" She sounded confused yet dazed at the same time
-
"I ... just found you like this" she replies taking a cautious step back. "And as for where, some kind of research and testing from what I've read, was at least. Now it's literally just an empty place"
-
She seems more confused, her expression still reading the same as before A ding is heard, and some unnoticed bands slide back into the seat, setting her free She stood then, looking around, and then taking a shaky step, only to collapse onto the ground
-
"Easy there high roller" she says as she immediately goes to her aid. She takes one of her arms places it around her shoulders, she pushes with her legs and hoists her up. "According to this machine you've been gone, quite a while. You remember anything, anything at all?"
-
"No, all I remember was a man in a lab coat standing infront of me, and then everything froze..."
-
"Well, according to the data your name is Jupiter Tanner, and are 23 years of age, more like 1039 now apparently" she says with a chuckle. "Anyway, Hi. I'm Eleif" she says.
-
"Eh, uh, hi..." She seems ever more confused, although she slowly manages to start walking A terminal lights up then, a message flashing on it
-
The terminal catches her attention. "And what do we have here" she says walking over to it.
-
Jupiter stood off in the background, slowly adjusting to loving again The terminal blinked, then opened the message, as a man in a lab coat appeared He was old, his black hair was flecked with white spots here and there, and there seems to be several active pods in the back ground He sighs, then speaks "To whom ever is watching, I am Dr. Samuel Hayden, the head scientist here in this facility If you opened that last chamber, well, of course you have, or else this wouldn't be playing right now, then know this Who you are now with, is Subject XJ-9, or Jupiter, as she was named in the project She, is the youngest of the subjects, the Alphas, to be exact..." He sighs, pulling out a piece of paper "She was and will always be my favorite, which is why I left her in the station, to keep her safe The other subjects, I've no idea where they will be headed, but I do know they will finally see action and battle I'm keeping Jupiter in the station simply because I liked her, favored her over the rest, and thus spared her her death in the soon to come battle Hopefully, whomever is watching this, you have awoken her She may experience some memory loss, but simply tell her the name of this station, all will come back to her, hopefully" The name of the station appears then, Ascension He sighs again "I'm probably long dead by the time she has been found, a shame really, since I won't know what happened to her But, Fate works in strange ways Anyways, please, take care of her, and make sure to tell her the name of the station!" He looks around, then shuts off the camera Info shows the video was from some 1000 years ago
-
"slowly adjusting to loving again" U wot m8?
She sees the video beginning to end. Ascension She walks up to Jupiter. "I have something that apparently will help you remember everything, so you may want to sit down or something" She clears her throat. "Ascension"
-
She seems confused at first, only a moment later recognition flashes across her face "I, well...." She blinks a few times "Everyone's dead then..."
-
She didn't have complete context of what she was going through, but just enough to feel the need to say something. "I'm sorry" she says, no thinking of anything better to say, but with genuine sympathy in her tone.
-
"It's fine... Just, yeah..." She sighs
-
"So, who are you exactly?" She asks after a few moments of awkward silence.
-
"Jupiter, a lab experiment, to keep it simple"
-
"To keep it simple? C'mon now, let's get complicated" she replies with an expectant grin on her face.
-
"Ok fine, how about this. I was created to save my entire race, me and some 50 others We where treated like people, although some didn't see it that way I was meant to be different than the rest, as it seems, since I think I'm the last one left"
-
"You 'think'?" she asks. "Would the other 49 have lifetimes extending a few centuries? Are the people who created you still around to make more? Well, I guess you wouldn't know the second one"
-
"We're immortal, thanks to biological engineering and a thing called Humin-X"
-
"Enhanced and immortal people, it definitely is a possibility then!" she smiles. "But where to begin" she says as she re approaches the computer. "And of course, if you want to see them. Curious though, if there are more out there, would they know of this place?"
-
"I've no idea, sorry"
-
"Well then, relic" she says in a playful tone. "Now that you're thawed out, what's your next step in adapting to this brave new world, with such people in it. Well, more of a galaxy, you get my point"
