This is why we can't have nice things. I hope Bethesda shuts down the console mods while this can be sorted out. Obviously people can't be trusted.

Damn, that's just sickening. Never happened to me though, considering I only make my mods private haha.
-
That isn't right...but honestly I'm kind of ok with it, but only if the mods wouldn't come to console by any other means
-
2 RespuestasAs long as there isn't any profit from the re-package, and credit is given, I think it is fine..

3 RespuestasMore mods for me It's PC players so it really doesn't the console community at all, shutting down will just piss more people off Console players really don't care about PC player problems and I am one if them This is coming from who is researching how to build a PC and I'm getting for games that I can't get on my console
-
I mean it's sad that people make claims about stuff that isn't theirs. But no one is making money directly off the mods. And technically speaking the mod creators don't own those mods anyway. Bethesda does. So yeah it's a shame. And it's cool that Bethesda is doing something about it. However wanting console mods to be removed over a few bad apples seems like an overreaction.

10 RespuestasEditado por Guardian9176: 6/6/2016 2:48:08 AMPeople getting upset over other people distributing something they don't own (which the creator doesn't own either)... Only PC neckbeards would try to raise a fuss about something so trivial and absolutely pointless.
you/they don't own your/their creation(s) in this instance and as such you have absolutely no say over what is done with said creation(s).
The fact that you want Bethesda to remove mods on consoles so the creators of content (which they don't own or have any say over what-so-ever) can get recognition says it all about your complete lack of understanding about who actually owns said content. Bethesda owns all the content and can do whatever they wish with it. End of story. They could label all the mods as the creation of Jebus and there's not a damn thing anyone could do about it. Get over it and get over yourself; it's pathetic watching content creators b*tch and moan that their content is being used. Edit: also, isn't distribution of unowned illegal content basically the ethos of the PC community? Pot and kettle situation here lol.

Disgusting. If this happened on a site like Nexus or GUN it would already be taken care of. I'm really glad that console mods are a thing, and I'm glad that modders are taking the extra time and effort to make them work for us. But if Bethesda doesn't put some boots on some throats quick this might wreck something I've been waiting a really long time for.

PC neckbeards are so butthurt
-
Well duh, I'm entitled to anything I want.
-
Happens with everything people always reupload other people's stuff. But this is kind of stupid because this actually gives them a chance to be successful

Editado por Luxfore: 6/5/2016 2:12:21 AMOf course they are. Did you really think people were going to make brand new mods? People are lazy and would rather just port them instead. Besides, they made no profit off of them. So I don't see the issue of them porting a mod of armor that was ported from another game.

Editado por TotallyNotDrew: 6/5/2016 12:43:56 AMMost of the replies to this thread are the exact reason PC modders simply don't want to port over to consoles. Not only is it additional work, but consoles simply don't even care about the community.

1 RespuestaI bet youre one of those pc elitists that just doesnt want console gamers to have mods..

Commence the carpet bans!

1 RespuestaJust read through the comments on this thread and i gotta say, the amount of people that are fine with plagiarism is sickening.

Another victim of the whole idea that if it's on the internet, it's "free", i.e. content creators don't deserve to exercise any control over their work. Not just mods, but music, movies, etc. If you create it, you should be able to control it any way you want. That said, there may be wording in the EULA that says Bethesda has the rights to any content created using their software. That doesn't justify plagiarism or stolen attribution (as in this case), just saying. Tl;dr - respect content creators

That's really fucked up. I hope that a lot of the other MOD authors see his post though and read the last part about packing mods into a ba2 file. I am very gracious for the mod authors adding their work onto consoles and I think it's screwed when people try to pawn it off as their own. I even have that mod described in the post. I'll probably delete it now.
-
That's pretty messed up.

1 RespuestaLemme great this straight. Is Bethesda claiming mods as there own and dont give any credit?
i hate reading
-blam!-. I spent 3 hours deleting and installing mods , looking for my mission NCR Veteran armour. Shit was badass :(
