I wanted to start this thread because I've been thinking a lot about this game and a lot about what Bungie learned from its success and failures thus far and how they might try to remedy that for the sequel (or maybe prequel?) title. I'll get right into my thoughts and what should happen next, feel free to share yours too.
Kill off Zavala
Now I don't say this lightly, I do main a Titan after all, but I think somebody has to go. I feel like Bungie may kill the Speaker but I feel like Zavala's death might be an interesting shift. It would be an intriguing way to shake things up and introduce some more story... we all know how bad year1 Guardians thirsted for more story. If my memory serves me correctly when acquiring the Sunbreaker subclass you go to Mercury in pursuit of the last remaining Sunbreakers, I believe they were led by a woman? She should, one way or another, have to take over as head of the Titan order. She seems to enjoy the hunt and the freedom so strapping her down to the Tower, similar to Cayde, could lead to some interesting banter between them and some wild missions. I had an alternate theory where Kabr gets brought back to life (is he really dead or kind of lost in time? I'm not clear on the lore) somehow but I haven't figured out the specifics yet.
A new social hub
I love the Tower and even though I feel like there's a good portion of it that we haven't seen.. I think a new social hub is integral in evolution of this game. Not talking about an addition to the Tower like the Reef but and entirely new area, maybe in a different part of the world? Possibly with access to the city below, that could introduce interesting new vendors and dialogue with the folks who live in the Last City and make the world feel more "lived in".
A continuation to the Exo Stranger saga
The heading pretty much says it all. She's one of the most interesting characters in the world and we know very little. I really want to more and about who/what she is and what her mission is.
New supers
I'm on the fence about this one. I really like the meta that occurs with the supers in the game right now but I'm not sure if the current supers are interesting enough to continue playing until Destiny 3 (which I really think is going to be the inevitable prequel title).
Like I said if you folks have any other ideas or thoughts, sound off below. I'm interested in what you guys think should and should not be in the next title or where you think Bungie might be taking us next.

13 RespuestasEditado por Inkvisitorn: 5/31/2016 5:11:30 PMI'm all for allowing Commander "-blam!- the enemy of my enemy strategy" Zavala recieve the other end of the genocide stick. Seriously, he's the guy responsible for the Cabal being openly hostile towards us, with all his assassination missions against their leaders.

4 RespuestasI think that The Traveler is gonna switch sides and work for Hydra.

My list would be a Reach Firefight type mode, a lot more units for each race (red bars, yellow bars, and bosses), new races, twice the amount of story missions than vanilla Destiny had (then start talking about DLC), more than a cppl strikes, new Legendary and Exotic Sub-Machine guns, and even like a Halo 5 Warzone firefight mode where you can play large battles, either old battles in the lore or current upcoming battles.

Had another idea... A rebuilt Reef Prior to Wolves betraying the queen and trashing the Reef I'm not sure we have any idea what it looks like. The social hub is nothing but a few vendors in what appears to be a hangar. I think it would be awesome for the reef to finally be rebuilt and for us to see what it's really all about. More vendors in a larger more interesting space.

1 RespuestaI haven't read too much on the lore, so this is just personal thoughts. I would like to the see the next game deal with the "Nine". We don't know too much about them, Xur appears every week and takes our strange coins and brings us exotic weapons and armor and other goodies. Xur acts like a middle man, but maybe he and the nine are behind the whole war. (Think Star Wars and palpatine). If we ever went to war with them, they would have all the exotics and armor we have, so it would be a tough fight. I know it's a stretch, but that's what I would like to see. As for supers, I would like to see an earth base subclass. If they keep the supers that we have now, I also would like to see an offensive and defensive stance on each. As an example, a sunsinger warlock the same now, but as a defensive part he might have a wall of flames or something similar as a super. Or possibly have a meter for both offense and defense and when your full you can use either. Just off the wall thoughts while at work, lol.

More base game content recycled backwards with enemies in new shaders.

1 RespuestaYou want to kill off Zavala...well then. That's the last thing I thought I ever see, it ever.
But I think my best friend having an alien baby takes the cake.
At least twice as many areas. Keep every existing area and add at least one new one for each planet/moon. This includes anything released before D2 drops. As long as the story is at least the same caliber as Taken King, I don't care what they do.

2 RespuestasEditado por CrazyGreenNinja: 6/1/2016 5:26:12 AMWell, this is some pre Destiny 2 speculation. This is an idea of what the next DLC could be and how it could lead into Destiny 2. This also has some backstory speculation mixed in to help clarify my idea. It is a bit long btw... Maybe the Traveler has been looking for a race that would be strong enough to defeat the HIve. The Eliksni might not have been strong enough, so the Traveler left to search for something even stronger and found us. Of course, it was still rude of the Traveler to not at least send out escape pods or something. Or perhaps leaving them was it's way of trying to protect the Eliksni. The Darkness is mostly after the Traveler after all, so it ups and leaves saying "Ketch Me If You Can!" Then the Hive pursue. The Traveler finds us and gives us our Golden age, trying to strengthen us. When the Darkness arrives, it sees that we are strong enough and stays. After the dust settles, it sends out the Ghosts to collect and revive all of those who fought and died to fight the darkness, because they were worthy of the light. Maybe it tried to flee again to protect us, but the War Mind did shoot it down. After the dust settled in this scenario, the Traveler senses that humans survived and realized that they were the ones that it had traveled so far to find, so it sends out the Ghosts to give all those who fought and died a second chance. The House Kings Eliksni might have found a shard from the Traveler. They believe we destroyed it, which may or may not be true, but since they probably think of the Traveler as their god (All the servitors might be designed based on the Traveler), they want vengeance. So in this up coming DLC or a future game (Speculation), maybe the Kings try to attack us again like most people think. By the end of this set of events, in a Raid perhaps, we fight the King's Kell. When we kill him, the hypothetical shard of the Traveler suddenly appears and begins flashing. Before we defeated the Kell, this shard was shrouded in a veil of Darkness like the one we found on the Moon, but this veil was created by the King's desire for revenge. Once we defeated the Kell, that shard became pure. So after it shows up and starts flashing, it revives the Kell, and spreads Light through the fallen in the area, purifying their minds. The shard shows us all some things making the Fallen aware that we are not the enemy, but that we Guardians are the key to defeating the Darkness. The shard also shows us Guardians that the Eliksni could be a strong Ally to help us in our fight. The Guardian becomes the Kell of Kells (maybe the speaker tries to take that title since he thinks he is the orb whisperer). The Eliksni now are able to become guardians. Destiny 2 coming soon. Of course, there would be more end game content, maybe a mission where we play as an Eliksni of some sort, but actually being able to create an Eliksni Guardian would be saved for a new game since they are the enemy for most of this one. Maybe some of the end game content for this DLC could be us gathering the rest of the Fallen. We could travel throughout the system trying to rescue the last of the fallen from the other threats. The King's Kell would be assisting us from a distance and would show up to let the other fallen know what has happened. Edit 1: Also, since you want Zavala dead, maybe he could somehow die in one of these missions. It could certainly be tied in with little effort. Edit 2: Since the Next DLC is speculated to be called "Rise of Iron", and since you want Zavala dead, what could happen is that when the King's launch their first attack, they end up killing Zavala, and Shaxx steps in to take his place. Then everything else continues as I mentioned earlier. Of course, there would be more to it though.

I actually like the fact idea that we could go down into the city in this one giant hub.

5 RespuestasEditado por Faith1essZealot: 5/31/2016 7:03:43 PMAnyone read the books of sorrow?
Oryx is coming back
What I would really like to see in destiny 2 is a long quest line were the player has to pursue a rogue gaurdian rumored to be controlling the taken remminants, and when you finally defeat the traitor have the game check for destiny data so the the villain can at least look like, maybe even fight like your d1 character (assuming you've built TOM)

2 RespuestasIf zavala was to die shaxx or Saladin would follow suit as the Titan vanguard... And the Sunbreakers we went to look for are dead.

I actually don't want to see anyone killed off. Aside from Cayde (the Taken King was basically The Cayde-6 Show), most the characters could really use some fleshing out. You can glean characterisation by piecing together the grimoire but it's so much nicer to see it in-game (like that TTK cinematic of the mentors + Eris, that was great fun, I'd love to see more like that). I think killing characters off rather than giving them a chance to develop would be such a waste.

9 RespuestasCade & eris etc should all be playable characters in pve. Similar to companions in mess effect & dragon age. So a controllable fire-team in some pve/solo story modes. Factions should play a larger roll id like some take back earth style quests backed buy the factions with them building there own little colonies in rebellion against the tower. Beyond that the current story & lore are piss poor at best so id just focus on developing the existing characters more, the traveler will wake up & is just a man made war mind ultron style thing or a huge genesis weapon (startrek) we created to protect us from some shit & it turned on us, created the vex tried to kill us & is cause of the collapse & is ultimate big bad etc... Rasputin is controlled by the few exo in the future trying prevent the human extinction in the past & creation of the traveler. It had the traveler in some kind of stasis but it failed to hold it. Terminator style time travel stuff But don't expect anything too original though it is bungie!

2 RespuestasI do like the theories here and your ideas. But, I have to contest your comments on the Sunbreaker lead (who was a woman, yes) taking over as the Titan Vanguard. It wouldn't make sense. It would be neat, but that would also mean that Saint-14 succeeded in confronting Osiris (who also at this point, has all the Sunbreakers with him) , defeat him and the Sunbreakers and then bring their Lead back to the Tower? When Saint-14 left for Mercury, that was how long ago? We don't even know if he's alive or not. Heck, he could be sided with Osiris now, too. In the end, I don't think The Consensus nor the rest of the Vanguard leads would be okay with making someone who ultimately banished themselves because of Osiris - a leader amongst the Vanguard.

It's a prequel....

Destiny 2 should be in an alternate universe where the vex succeeded in being able to bend reality and all that. That would be COOOOL. OOH or maybe it should be a prequel... Where you play as the FALLEN! Fighting their apocalypse or whatever.
