Cayde stated blade dancing. He is the one who also got them invisibility. He stole the "formula" from Rasputin.

Cayde implies that someone, not necessarily him, stole the cloak coding from Rasputin an incorporated it into the Bladedancers' Light. It is never even hinted at him starting Bladedancing.
-
Well since cayde is rasputin or at least has some relation to him, it's quite obvious that cayde would be the one who took the stealth codes.
-
He specifically said in a conversation with our ghost during the ttk mission in which we go into Rasputin's bunker: Cayde: We used to have the stealth tech before but... Uh. We don't have it anymore. Ghost: Why did you have it? Cayde: How do you think blade dancers got their invisibility?
-
That whole dialogue only reveals that bladedancers acquired their stealth abilities from Rasputin. Not that it was Cayde himself that made it, or invented it. The only other piece that might suggest that Cayde is a bladedancer is the flux grenades boobytrapping the vault door to the abandoned colony ship. But even that is a big if, because it only suggests Cayde knows that they're there and knows how to bypass them, not that he set them.

He references flux grenades in Caydes Stache

That makes him the founder of blade dancing?
-
Not necessarily, he has hinted at Bladedancers in his dialogue before, that's all I'm saying

In the original story cayde and uldren were linked to rasputin somehow. We may never know. It seems some parts of that connection made it into vanilla
