How does this sound?

You get to create an exotic, send it to bungie, and if they approve it you receive that exotic. Also, only you get the exotic, it's not available to anyone else. In this scenario, I'll act as " Bungie." Make an idea for an exotic, and I will say if I think it's OP or not. Super cool ones might be put up here.

  • I was thinking about something similar to this, but not so direct. I want Bungie to design a system in the game that allows you to craft your own weapons and name them. The only way to get someone elses' weapon is by toying with the in-depth weapon creation mechanics and trying to figure out how they made it, or the owner could choose to release a blueprint for it. You could also kill them in a PvP area "in the wild" or something and get their gear. You could then "tell a story" about how you killed some crazy bastard on Venus and got his/her badass gun. This way an Exotic weapon could truly be your own with you naming it and all with the chance you lose it to someone else, or you could become an awesome weaponsmith that people depend on for solid weapon designs. This would also give use to other items we find in the game: somehow mixing Fallen Ether Seeds with the Crux of Crota and linking other things together to get a weapon to be badass and potentially only yours. Some of us could actually "become legend" as the game wants us to. We need to be able to somehow forge our own paths and a few of us would then rise above others in the community. Bad reputation or not, it would make things interesting.

      • Let me dual weild the last word and first curse as my primary weapons. I will give up my special slot in return for having both of these weapons. Together they will form the 'Cursed Word' and the exotic perk will be called "Last to First" where getting kills with bullet from both guns (they will be able to be fired together or independently via the left and right triggers) will speed up move and reload for a short duration, and have the ability to grant explosive rounds until the wielder has to reload

                Go Go Gadget "Always come prepared." Exotic Pulse Rifle Perk 1 - Third Eye Perk 2 - Armor piercing rounds/perfect balance/extended mag Perk 3 - Outlaw Exotic perk - Dynamo - When reloading this weapon, you will activate one of the following abilities at random, and keep it until you reload again, in which it will overwrite the current active ability. (Increased agility by 4/15% damage increase/improved radar/explosive rounds/25% rate of Fire increase/cloaked until you fire or for 10 seconds) Edit: cloak would need a duration, maybe 10 seconds.

                Elysium High impact scout rifle. Not everyone is welcomed to the promised land. Some are destined to burn in the flames of the underworld. Perk 1 Full auto Perk 2 Exploding rounds, perfect balance, or hammer forge. Perk 3 Fire fly Exotic perk. Judgement Chance on slaying a enemy to proc a A.O.E that ignites surrounding enemy's and sets them ablaze. (Could maybe just activate when fire fly proc.)

                      The idea of sending exotics to Bungie is bad, but like making up exotics so here. Jester's final trick. Hunter gauntlets The final trick is in the exit. Design is a normal gauntlet, metal shoulder pads, with cloth that leads to metal gloves. But on the metal spades, hearts, diamonds and clubs are decorated and jockey cards are found on the cloth. Cloth is motley. Perk: grenades select one target it damages randomly, and then clicking the grenade button again causes the enemy and player to switch places.
