We killed Atheon.
We killed a hive God, and his father.
We killed the Kell of Kells.
What Fallen are we supposed to kill in this DLC? Because if he's not a God or something, it's going to be easy for guardians, right?
Guardians became so powerful that it's hard for me to think about lore and a Fallen boss.
I'm just saying this because people are supposing that this is the new DLC and we'll finally get a Fallen raid, and since we are god-slayers, it would be dumb to fight against a kell as the final boss of the game.
Edit: I know Skolas is not the actual kell of kells.
I know about the House of Kings.
My point is: we could beat a freaking hive god, so it would be easy to kill a kell in destiny universe.

Oh I can totally see a fallen earth based dlc. House of Wolves ain't done, neither are the Kings. After acquiring the vex time tech, the remaining Wolves merge with the Kings and use the Vex tech to return to the Battle of the Twighlight Gap. Finding this out, the Iron Lords send you back into the Vault to aquire the tech for ourselves and follow them back to make sure the tide still tips in our favor. The Raid could be a new flavor with a "tower" defence type, holding the wall, pushing and falling back for different missions of the Raid.
-
I'm hoping we fight an army. I mean multiple archons, Kells, servitors, captains, skiffs, ketches... All of it. That would make sense, as Lord Saladin was an important part of the battle of twilight gap.
-
2 RespuestasA powerfull Fallen and Variks never told a word about it? Makes no sense
-
Clear out the rest on earth? Thought this was rather obvious.
-
The cabal try to blow up the planet and moon cause it in the way.
-
An attack I'm the city would be cool, I mean you see saladin standing guard in a breach. Could be a cool raid
-
Could be another shifty bastard with a shit ton of troops like Skolas. Maybe a Fallen Legend from the battle of Twilight Gap.

6 RespuestasWe beat what the hive call a god... but not necessarily a "god" per se. In star trek ds9, the founders were gods to the vorta and jem hadar, but all they were in actuality were beings with the ability to shapeshift. Killed like anyone else. Just because the the hive call oryx a god doesn't mean he is of tremendous might or power... just that the hive are so weak oryx was a god to them. To ants, we humans can be like gods... but a .45 to the head will end their idea of a god... so.... It's all a matter of perspective.

I think our power isn't as big of an impact as you might think. Still with my Hawkmoon at 330 attack, I cannot one shot a Vex Goblin on Venus patrol without hitting the critical spot. Those things are weak. Praetorians are not the challenge they once were, but they still take quite a few hits to kill. Our power I think is better described as a knowledge and how to utilize it more and more effectively. We don't know the entire power of the Fallen, and they could potentially have much more insight into the Traveler than we do considering they had a Golden Age like we did. Much of their knowledge was lost, but that doesn't mean there weren't some who still held knowledge of their old ways. Variks is a great example of that. Weak as he may be, it is still shown through him that the Fallen are not always the same. Some may be kind, others typical scavengers. Others may be ruthless and cunning, owning a sophistication we've yet to see in the Fallen as we know them.

1 RespuestaGameplay challenges =/= Lore The lore is backdrop. The point is we fight bullet sponges for loot. That is the function of Destiny.
-
House of Kings are suggested to be the strongest house in the lore. Also, the only reason we were able to kill Atheon was because of the Aegis, and the fact that we were fighting alongside every guardian that has, is and is going to fight Atheon (Time's Vengeance). As for Oryx and Crota, the only reason we could kill them is because of the sword logic, which only applies to Hive throneworlds. Another fallen raid can make perfect sense in the lore.
-
Guardians aren't getting more powerful at all, we just understand the light more and more as we progress and our strategy and effectiveness as soldiers is improving. With everyone bar skolas we got lucky, with Atheon thanks to Kabr we were able to win, with Crota he got too cocky and Oryx was taken (no pun intended) by surprise we used his own corruption against him. A well militarised force with good leadership like the house of Kings or cabal main fleet would be more dangerous.
-
If it's "Rise of Iron", I believe that it will detail the beginnings of the Iron Lords, so it's likely to be set in the past, when Lord Saladin was wrecking shit proper.
-
Well we are missing a certain servitor. The one that guardians used to fear and was recreated as a really weak mini boss.
-
Set in the past m8.... Set in the past.... It's all about the titans and their battle for city....
-
Bungie will think of something. Fallen got screwed out of a Raid when it would have fit in well with the story. I don't want a Cabal raid until we get a fallen one first.
-
It's literally just to give Bungie another year to complete the sequel.

9 RespuestasThe other day I was listening to the planet destiny podcast. They were talking about fighting the MOST powerful fallen ever. They of course said that they wouldn't do that because it is too soon in the grand scheme of things which I completely agree with. But it got me thinking about the fallen, and how they too once wielded the light. Imagine if there was a long lost house of fallen. That still wielded the light, they still had their old technology. What if in their return. The true kell of kells arrives, and even our friend variks joins their forces. For they are the ones that bring all the fallen houses under one banner. The house of Want (kind of like that name kind of dont) A house who's only purpose is to reclaim the light of its once god. How crazy would it be to fight fallen that are more technologically advanced than the fallen we know, and can wield the light as we do... Yeah... I'd be soooo down for that.
