Guys, it's something most of us have to do even though we hate to admit it..
What do you do or say to convince your better half to let (That's right, and you know it!) you spend sweet precious time playing on Destiny or let us say to game in general?
Oh, and before someone throws the word 'sexist' around, we all know what women offer ( or refuse ) when they want something. 😉
Don't take this too seriously guys, it's just a bit of fun.
The irony of this statement is just too good to ignore. You who sit behind your keyboard, spouting about the 'pussification of the new generations' which you are literally the personification of.
You see, the post was a joke. It refers to the eye rolls and compromise, the inside mechanisms of the long term relationship that I doubt you have any idea about. In fact, I doubt you've ever felt an adult relationship have you? If at all, but I imagine when you strain your little head to think of some quippy comeback that you've been married for 20 years.
Here's some advice kid, and the rest of you teenagers on the whole "If she loves you, she should let you do whatever you want" bandwagon should listen up too;
When you eventually grow up and find hair on your nutsack, and then one day possibly find a woman who for some unknown reason to me decides that you're worthy of spending her life with - You will realise that actually yourself and your own happiness isn't your main concern anymore. You'll soon have responsibilities, and you won't have as much free time as you think you will. When it comes down to choosing whether you're going to play on the PS4 or spend time with your wife, it's no hard decision, and that's called being a real man.
She has her own Xbox/pc so she can do what the -blam!- she wants while I do what the duck I want
-
I simply just turn the Xbox on . She doesn't mind as it's my hobby

My partner is more than happy for me to game as I long as I let her run around patrol shooting for a while. Or she plays pvz or walking dead on her phone
-
No idea, my girlfriend is normally playing it with me haha
-
Thanks, Grandpa!
-
I tell her I'm hanging out with my friends.
On destiny of course ;)
-
Any type of sedative or date -blam!- drug. Puts them right out and it's easy to slip into their drink. Once their out ya toss him in the bedroom, have your way, then get gaming.

Im 27, been dating my gf for a year and half, been playing destiny since alpha. She understands my obsession but doesn't always like it or agree with it. I make ample time for her aswell so it is what it is.
-
I get home... Shower. And then play. No need for senseless asking. I'm a human being and she is too. We will do what we want
-
But if she games with you.. And neither of you want kids..
🙌🏻
Editado por SolarCerberuS: 5/23/2016 2:26:29 AMBeen lucky lately after eldest is in bed I have been able to get on for a couple hours a night during the week and a little more on weekends. My wife works when Im home so as long as little ones taken care of I can game until my hearts content. one day a fortnight is family day and that night me and the missus might get a movie or have a fuggle if the kids are asleep at a decent hour.

Would you like another glass of wine hun?

1 RespuestaWe watch tv after our 3 year old goes to bed. We will watch 1 hour long show together from 9pm until 10 and she will read on her tablet while I fire up the xbox. She goes to bed between 10:15 and 10:30 then I stay up until about 2am if I dont work the next day. If I do work its around midnight. During the days I am home I play when my son naps too. Nap time lets me get some of the daily stuff done for marks.

2 RespuestasStep 1: Marry a gamer. Step 2: Profit.

1 RespuestaHahaha truth, my wife and I'm assuming many others has a unhealthy love of hospital and crime drama. She says that it's sad that I still play games, but I like to politely remind her that I don't want to spend my evenings watching fake doctors treat fake terminally ill people and fake cops solve fake grizzly murders (why women watch and enjoy shit that makes them cry just blows my mindhole). I'd rather shoot fake people/aliens in a world that doesn't exist.
-
My wife watches soap operas and medical dramas. I hate them, but my refusal of sex doesn't make a difference, she still watches them. She doesn't care about Destiny, I play it while she's doing the washing, cooking the dinner, mowing the lawn , or putting up bookshelves.
-
She's a bit of a bookworm so her reading time is my game time and vice versa
-
1 RespuestaIn reality, I / we compromise. Happily Married 18 Years. If I have some free time and she's busy with something that does not require my involvement, I'd probably play then, or if the family are watching something on tv that I'm not interested in. Having Marital / Parental responsibilities comes first, always will. Console will be there when the kids are in bed / wife is occupied with her stories etc. Wife plays on the console too, but Destiny is not her type of game. She prefers Platformers / Puzzlers.
-
I don't have to convince my girlfriend of anything. She knows gaming is a hobby of mine, and she wants me to be happy, and I want her to be happy. This is kind of a silly question.
-
1 RespuestaBuying two 50 inch tv's....the 4k one in the living room for TV and a cheaper, plasma one in the man-cave for gaming...... I don't watch tv, she does.... I complain endlessly about the rubbish she watches, I get banished to the man-cave...shame :) It's like making coffee for someone for the first time....make it taste like crap, you won't be asked again.

3 RespuestasIts not a problem till I have to decide between sex and destiny. Then I'm sure you know what I'll pick.
-
We agree to disagree and we mutually respect personal time :)
-
3 RespuestasI play Destiny wayyyyy more than my BF does. It's honestly a chore getting him to play with me.
-
If she doesn't give you time to game, she isn't worth it.
-
2 RespuestasBeen married a year and what works for me is that she wants to learn how to play because she wants to enjoy my hobby as well so she'll go into the crucible or a strike and do some work even though she's not the best and I just give her tips and what not usually after she gets tired she'll let me play lol
