Do whatever you want (except cheat) you have a right of access to every element, you paid for the game!
You don't need the following to enjoy Destiny:
Elitist, egotistic, shitty colleagues (definitely can find them elsewhere)

2 RespuestasFunny the heavyweights get so defensive, while attempting to appear reasonable about experience and light. Must have gjallahorn, must have emblem, must be 330 plus light.....blah,blah,blah. A huge group of players are not willing to ever help a new guardian, rushing through a raid in cookie cutter fashion in order to receive duplicate pieces of loot seems preferable to many.

I don't mind showing new people how to do certain aspects of the raid, I was new once myself. But, when we ask if anyone doesn't know what to do, and we hear crickets, and then we have to wipe repeatedly because of silly stuff, I get agitated. Last night, we had a kid repeatedly say he knew what to do, then ask us to explain it again, but he knew what to do, he just wanted us to explain it, it's like, dude, come on
-
1 RespuestaThen please explain why I can't get to the lighthouse then? I paid for it so I deserve to go there. ^^This is what mainly PvP players expect of us mainly PvE players to do for them in the raids^^ Learn the damn thing before jumping into HM,better to be a asset then a liability.

1 RespuestaComing from a guy with 1 completion? Blind leading blind around here
-
Yeah some people are elitist, but it comes down to time. Many players have put in the time to learn the raid and how to just simply get through it and stay alive. No one wants to wipe at Oryx for an hour because someone can't run the relic or platform holders can't stay alive. It usually has very little to do with players not knowing mechanics and often just people being bad and dying for silly things too much.
-
I don't Raid much, but the guys I play with did it with me on the weekend (as I didn't play it often and I suck at jumping) as they have families, they would do it the hard core guys during the week. Or a speed run. I get that and I didn't get pissed, just played a relaxed game of the weekend. Suited me. Now I play CoE and PoE and love it.
-
1 RespuestaSure, but don't expect someone to explain to you every mechanic of the game. It's not their job to teach you. Spending 10 minutes at every checkpoint explaining the mechanics, then experiencing 2-3 wipes before they get it, adds hours into a raid. I'm a working father. I don't Sherpa very often. If I had 4-8 hours to do a raid, I would. But I rarely have more than an hour to play. And a good raid team will get it done without a wipe in less than 45 minutes. I would suggest watching a guide on YouTube first. Then doing normal. Then doing hard. If you don't do it this way, you will waste a lot of time, your own and other peoples. And if you lie your way in and don't know what you are doing, you will get found out very quickly. And all but the most forgiving host will kick you for it.
-
1 RespuestaThe issue I always have is that I've gone into the raid quite a few times, but no one has ever bothered to explain the Oryx mechanics to me. I've asked a number of times, but people just tell me where to stand while someone else does my part for me. I know it makes it easier, but where's the fun in just standing there while people play your part for you? I want to actually contribute to the raid, but nobody has ever bothered to explain it. It was the same with the Bridge section of Crota's End; I still to this day don't know how to do it legit, because nobody EVER wanted to do it.
-
Agreed.

1 RespuestaIt's sad when a guy tries to make a positive post but then you guys come and insult him and overall ruin his post. That's why I love you guys!
-
Your right. That being said having experience in the raid on at least a basic level and meeting the basic raid requirements is something you should strive for before doing it.
-
You are absolutely correct. If you want to try hard raids there is nothing to stop you if you have a team willing to help or at the same level. Trust me the hard raid isn't all that harder than normal raid. With that said. If you call for help on forums and you are constantly failing at the most ridiculous thing (totems) Then you should expect you fireteam to bail. No one wants to spend several hours doing repetitive things because you can't count.

9/10 raid lobbies would send you to Italy

8 RespuestasThis guy is -blam!-ing retarded. Sure. Go ahead and make your fireteam of people who haven't done hard raid, or the raid at all, and haven't watched a video and don't know what the -blam!- to do, and have one 334-335 who gets frustrated because he's trying to help and no one will listen. Raids are endgame content for the best loot. I'm not going to waste my time helping someone through and carrying them if they don't know what the -blam!- they're doing. If everyone knows at least the basis of what they're doing, I can assure you it will be 100% funnier, better, and quicker.
TL;DR: op made stupid, shitty point that I countered and negated above.
I disagree.

Carry on Guardians, nothing of value to see here.
-
3 RespuestasWell said. So many elitists thinking their time is more precious. Or that the game is so difficult that it can't be done without watching a -blam!-ing YouTube video.
-
You can do whatever you want. Just not in my clan or fireteam:) So i don't ser any problem here. Enjoy your product however you want.

6 RespuestasWhen op has only spent 3 hours in one raid and thinks he's a raiding god
-
Sure, go ahead and join. If you don't know how to play the raid, you will be kicked!
-
5 RespuestasYes, you are exactly right that the needs/desires of that one person outweigh those of the five other individuals. #failedlogic #entitledmindset #misguidedunderstandingofindividualrights
-
4 RespuestasDon't jump into the raid until you watch a video on the mechanics and have a basic understanding. If you lie about your experience you're getting a taste of Italy's finest cuisine (a boot)
-
10 RespuestasNotice op has only completed ONE KF raid. He doesn't understand the frustration inexperience causes when you are attempting to get through the raid quickly and have to explain everything or continuously wipe. I for one am very accommodating when it comes to helping out less experienced raiders but I also understand there are times when speed and efficiency are necessary and lack of understanding/experience can quickly destroy the chance of completing the raid.

I do agree with ya. Just keep in mind: if that person is doing so bad they're holding the raid team back--they will get the boot-to-ass. People lookin' to jump in: it's best you specify that you're new and lookin' to learn. People will help you. If you find a random group, you're up for a random experience. Could be good, could be bad. Regardless, if you're lookin' to start raidin'--go in. Without experience, ya will not get better. If ya get the boot to that ass of yours, oh well, you don't need to play with that group. Find another. Last thing: When ya get to the Wall-Boners, do everything in your power to kill your teammates. And if ya catch somebody on one: yell "WALL BANGERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAHHHHHHH!!!" like the Japanese host of Ninja Warrior.
