Vanguard & Crucible packages are broken
In year 1 the Faction, Vanguard & Crucible packages were reasonably well balanced in what they gave out. Sometimes they'd give armor, often they'd produce weapons. Rolls on armor were likewise fairly well spread out between intellect, discipline and strength. That was year 1.
Not so in year 2. Since the April update I have opened literally dozens of packages, grinding endless hours for those ever elusive rarities like the Longbow, Lord High Fixer, LDR, or some sweet new armor with decent rolls. And yet with the exception of 2 packages every single one has given me armor with strength rolls... STRENGTH (I main a Titan... *sigh*).
Bungie, whatever you did in an attempt to make the package rewards "smarter" didn't work, they're utterly and completely broken. I've beaten all the endgame content, I've reached max level, I've been to the lighthouse multiple times. New gear with good rolls is literally the only reason to keep grinding at this point, but sadly you've even made that a pointless endeavor.
Am I the only one this is happening to or is anyone else experiencing a never-ending déjà vu of crap rewards?
Edit: Ships... don't forget the ships. Armor and a ship... armor and a ship... ship and armor...

Lately I've been getting armor more but there was a while it was only guns. Edit; Well I was thinking about factions on multiple ranks easily. But still feel a balance of both with crucible. Vanguard though, only armor.

2 RespuestasI have received the same chestpiece from the last two vanguard packages, and one crucible package. The same asperit chest piece. Supposedly this is based on "what I need" more than a pure random selection. So I guess Bungie is telling me I need 3 Hunters weaing the same gear...

Wait you can get year 1 recycled weapons! It's not like I have them sat in my vault from when I first grinded for them only for them to be redundant! It's insulting to make you grind for them again! Gg bungie gg

In year 1 almost every Vanguard and Crucible package gave me only motes or coins, no weapon or armor. Did you have some special snowflake edition of Destiny in year 1?

Bump. All I ever get is armor. Boots mainly. Of all the times I've ranked up, on all three characters, I've received three weapons.

Same- i constantly get armor. Its not all bad, but it cant be even used for infusion fodder since it is usually less than the light level for that particular Item

I have opened maybe 20 crucible packages and have had really good luck (by some peoples terms.) 3 longbows and a lord high fixer. All I want is a two to the morgue.... I used this thing like crazy in year 1.

Editado por Ve7n00m: 5/17/2016 1:11:33 PMBro I've opened 51 Crucible packages, I've only had 4 year 1 weapons (No Longbow or Saterieene Rapier) and 7 year 2 weapons (I can just go and buy them, they shouldn't be in the loot pool for rewards) The rest have been Helmets and bonds! They're not broken, they're disgustingly insulting!

ships for me. doesn't matter if it's vanguard or crucible...a ship every freakin time! so now i decided that's what i would do COLLECT ships! jeeez, and they are all the same paint job.

Endless amounts of armor for me. I finally got a lord high fixer after a month of farming packages....it had terrible perks. Back to the grind again!

Oh.. I just got a lord high fixer with rifled barrel or reinforced barrel. With rifled it's better than hawkmoon

2 RespuestasPeople are still trying to rationalize the RNG system. I get it. We humans always try to find patterns and reasons to explain things we don't understand. Problem is there isn't really a logical formula. It's a simple number generator.

vanguard keeps giving me Dilluvian approximately half the time which is disproportionately high

RNG is usually ass to me but I've gotten meh rolls on Zombie Apocalypse, Lord high Fixer, Grim III, Long Bow and even a high (for me) roll ghost
