"Understatement of the year, I saw some of our guys this way when we were up on the roof top." He motioned for her to follow as he moved to a bridge that crossed train tracks.

They get to about half way over the bridge when an explosion wracks the other side, causing the bridge to collapse on one end. Volkov slid down to the ground and hit with a thud.

[b]Evelyn slid down and landed on her feet and Max fell and hit the ground face first but stood up [/b]

Volkov groaned and stood, shaking his head. "What the hell was that?"

Evelyn:"An explosion"

"Thank you captain obvious, it looked like a triggered detonation. The innies must be trying to fortify that end of the city.

Evelyn:"I can help with that. Max do you have the cloaking devices?" Max:"Yes ma'am" [i]he hands you a small box like object and hands one to Evelyn[/i] Evelyn:"These should help"

"Cloaking tech, nice. I've not been fortunate to use this stuff yet."

Evelyn:"Well now's your chance"

"How's it work?" He said staring at the tech.

[i]she places it in her wrist and presses a button on it. She turns invisible[/i] Evelyn:"that's how"

He does so as well, soon fading from the visual spectrum. He looked down at his arms and body to und that he couldn't see them.

[i]Max turns invisible[/i] Evelyn:"Let's go"

He looks around, unable to see them both. "There might be a problem."

"Hold on. Let me link our HUDs then we'll be able to see each other." [i]after a moment you see a green outline of the both of them[/i]

"Alright that's that fixed." He lead the way back into hostile territory to begin the search for Intel.

The trio make their way among the wreckage of the city, for the most part everything is quite,the sound of occasional gunfire in the distance, but that's it. They encounter a few innie patrols but overhear little of use, they decide to follow one back to base to see where they were hiding.

Evelyn:"So what's the plan once we get comms working again? Regroup and mount a counter offensive?"

"Eventually mount the counter offensive, but this is urban warfare. It could take months to gain ground."

"I have an idea that could make that could make a few months a few days"

"What would that be?"
