Spare Change.25 what does the community think of this thing?
Got one today with:
Red dot ors
Counter balance
Hand-laid stock
Spray N play. fixed that miss type.
It works but it doesn't. Thing hits like a truck but if you miss a burst one might as well bend over and take it up the ass like Deadpool.
Thoughts?

Good in Year One (Comparable to The Messenger at the time), terrible in Year Two. In Year Two, we have too many guns with a vastly decreased "time to kill", the Spare Change's slow rate of fire hasn't been sufficiently tweaked to compensate for this.

The gun in general feels "meh" on every other map (excluding btb maps). It dominates long sight lines, other than that, its "meh" even with God rolls. I have one with Headseeker, Braced Frame, Spray and Play. It absolutely mauls opposing players when I land shots consistently.

It is not good vs. other faster firing guns. So I'm keeping the one I have with counterbalance and braced frame in the vault hoping they'll get buffed sometime. Same for the slow RoF autos like Suros Regime.

I picked up all three pulse rifles (Kau8 Constellation Scar, Hopscotch Pilgrim, and Spare Change) during HoW and just kept the other two. To this day, I still don't like the gun. I just can't do well with it. It's weird because I love using the Lyudmila and Hopscotch Pilgrim (before the silent 55A archetype change).

I don't like it. Had some good rolls too. I had gotten 4 or 5 of these and dismantled all of them. I don't like the slow rate of fire pulse rifles.

1 RespuestaSpray and play **** NOT reactive reload, I about lost it and immediately had to inspect you. Pulse rifles can't roll with reactive reload since TTK dropped. That's the perk that made hopscotch so deadly. GG decent spare change. For it to be effective you have have to be able to hit all head shots or you'll be obliterated by the quicker fire rate pulses.

1 RespuestaHigh impact pulse rifles aren't what they used to be, but I'm still very jealous of your roll. A Spare Change roll like yours is what I hope for after every crucible match. Please don't dismantle it.

I think it's too slow and requires good perks to make it decent.

Needs counterbalance and another stability perk, or a stability buff. If it can't 2-burst reliably, it's not worth having.

1 RespuestaCounterbalance is definitely a must have for this pulse rifle, at least in my opinion. Hand laid stock helps stability but it takes away from range or magazine, I can't remember. These pulse rifles are in a weird place dude and I still don't feel like bungie has given me the incentive to use them. They don't 2 burst, and I am not saying they should, but you are punished more for missing part of a burst than you would be if you used a different style of pulse rifle. I say hold onto it and play around with it. Form your own opinion.... you may end up hating it but you may end up liking it.

The high impact low ROF pulse rifles used to be very good. Guns like the messenger or the three little words and yours were basically guaranteed two burst kills until the nerf

Out classed by hawksaw which is easy to get and grasp which is hard to get.

4 RespuestasThis gun and Lyudmila - I want to love them, but.......there's always a better tool, whatever you're doing. The low RoF-high damage PR's must be the most statistically challenged weapon type. Your roll is excellent, so if it's not working....
