[i]rocket pods sprung from Max's shoulders and fired upwards. The rockets began to rain down on the innies[/i]

The explosions drove them back as they began to lose a lot of ground. Volkov waited for max to pass his position to step out behind him, firing shots then returning to cover behind the robot.

[i]a hardlight barrier appeared in front of Max. It moved with him and he could still shoot through it[/i]
-
Volkov moved ahead with the robot, killing any innies hiding to make flanking attacks.

[i]Evelyn followed doing the same[/i]
-
The innies soon changed tactics, they tried to swarm the robot from the sides and rear while the heavies engaged from the front.

[i]He becomes surrounded in bubble shield with Evelyn and Volkov. He fires rockets at all of them[/i]

The innies take severe casualties, eventually backing off, they didn't want to take anymore losses for the moment. The path ahead was clear.

[i]Max moved forward and Evelyn walked with him[/i] Max:"Hostiles suppressed"

[spoiler]i see him as loader not now. Not going to lie.[/spoiler] Volkov follows a few meters behind them.

"Understatement of the year, I saw some of our guys this way when we were up on the roof top." He motioned for her to follow as he moved to a bridge that crossed train tracks.

They get to about half way over the bridge when an explosion wracks the other side, causing the bridge to collapse on one end. Volkov slid down to the ground and hit with a thud.

[b]Evelyn slid down and landed on her feet and Max fell and hit the ground face first but stood up [/b]

Volkov groaned and stood, shaking his head. "What the hell was that?"

Evelyn:"An explosion"

"Thank you captain obvious, it looked like a triggered detonation. The innies must be trying to fortify that end of the city.

"Cloaking tech, nice. I've not been fortunate to use this stuff yet."
