Apparently I need to specify. If you have neither or only one of the choices then just imagine you have both.
Who would/do you love the most? If it came down to it and you had to choose. And don't say 'Oh, I love them both equally.' We both know it's bullshit and you are a liar. You may not be able to decide, but you have a favorite.
I know it's hard to compare these different kinds of love and put one above another but it's just something I have always wondered.
My answer:
I would love my significant other more simply because I loved them first and the child is a product of that love. I would give up anything for my significant other. They are the one love of my life and I wouldn't lose that for the world. Even if it meant giving my child up.
3 RespuestasSee this is why I would prefer not to have kids (unless my future significant other wants to and it would make her happy). If you put a child into play, then you're going to focus more on the child rather than your significant other. When you have a child, you lose a special intimacy between you and your partner. TL;DR: Basically, if you have a child, your world becomes "what's best for the baby" not "what's best for my one and only soulmate", which I would rather focus the love I can give to my soulmate (too bad I haven't met her yet probably :(
