As it stands, warlocks are objectively the best class. Why is this? They have abilities that translate extremely well in both pvp and pve. Lets just take a quick look at why the claim i just made is true.
Stormcaller: in pve, the is one of the best add clearing supers. The chaining abilities, along with the blinding effect of landfall can be very effective. Along with this, you can equip the right perks so that you will always have a grenade or melee ready to be used.
In pvp, stormcaller is considered one of the best supers, with its grenades (mainly the deluge grenade) being quite potent.
Sunsinger: in pve, we all know why sunsinger is good. Self res. It is extremely rare to see a sunsinger run any thing but self res. In pvp, a radiant skin set up allows for increased survivability and with firebolt grenades, you can clear a field of foes.
Voidwalker: the recent buff to voidwalker has pushed it to too tier. The grenade recharge is now fast enough to allow for a grenade every 4 seconds if you merely hit an enemy with your melee, or if you kill one with your grenade. Combine nova bomb with bloom and you can clear a decent amount of adds as well. In pvp, voidwalker is pretty much the same, as scatter grenades can oneshot, and if they do oneshot, you will get a grenade back in 4 seconds.
Now, am i saying warlocks are overpowered? NO! They are fine! But, the other subclasses are lack luster, for the reason that not every subclass is always viable. Warlocks dont have this problem. Every single subclass is viable no matter the circumstances.
How can we fix this? We cant take the bungo route of "NERF ALL THE THINGS!" We just cant. What we can do, it get buffs for the other lack luster subclasses to allow them to all be viable in both pvp and pve.
First off: Buff all super damage in pve by at least 100%, preferably 200% to 400%. By simply buffing super damage. This is so simple. Make all minions of the darkness take (x) more damage. Same thing happened to shotguns.
Lets start with hunters:
Gunslinger is a top tier pvp class, with golden gun being a great super. In pve, golden gun is useless, and even with celestial nighthawk, it doesnt deal enough damage to truly warrant its usage. So, my suggestions
Increase GG damage in pve by earlier stated damage %
remove circle of life perk, or buff it greatly. my suggestion: make it either "when in golden gun, throwing knife hits score increased time". Or, as earlier said, just completely remove this perk.
Increase GG time by ~2-3 seconds, remove the time decrease when using symbiotic helmet thingy
Allow all knife headshots to proc a default bleeding effect, the burning knife perk is slightly reduced to compensate
Make keyhole default, replace with a new perk.
Allow for precision damage when using golden gun.
Bladedancer:
FIX THE FING HIT DETECTION BUNGO!
as it stands, blade dancer is meh. It sucks in pve, a la the super damage buff. In pvp, its....meh. If hit detection is fixed, it will be much better
My suggestions for Bd:
Increase arc bolt grenade damage
Increase time gained from encore
Increase invisibility time by 2-3 seconds for each invisibility ability.
I dont know what else to do for it really. Any hunters willing to give their ideas?
Nightstalker:
It is doing its job. Its a support class that a viable pvp class, allowing for multiple perks that buff the character in positive ways.
Decrease the time it takes to tether targets
Increase time while using quiver
Make predator deal a slight bit of damage when it traps
Again, im not a hunter, so im not entirely sure what the class needs. Im open to suggestions
Titans:
Oh boy, here we go.
Sunbreaker:
Bungo! WHY U DO DIS! All sunbreakers needed was an armor reduction, and maybe a cooldown to regen, but not the slower hammer speed, reduced blast radius, and other things
Buff back the HoS blast radius, and remove all but the armor and regen cooldown nerfs.
Reduce the amount of energy needed to suncharge
Fix suncharge hit detection
Strikers: Strikers are in a decent place currently. They are not in need of a nerf (contrary to what the forum believes). They have arguably one of the best grenades, and quite a good neutral game. They are powerful in pvp, and with a damage increase to FoH, they would be very good in pve. My suggestions are very alight buffs.
Increase the amount of charge gained when using amplify
Increase the time flash bags last, or make them last longer with the perk that increases aftershock timings.
Defender:
Easily the best pve class, defenders fall short in pvp. (Pretty much the exact opposite of strikers)
Increase grenade and melee recharge speed while in WoD
Allow force-barrier to stack with blessings of light
Cause any enemy inside your bubble to take 210 void damage when WoD is first activated. This is simply an area clear, so that you dont place down and get killed instantly, since there were 3 shotgunners next to you
What do you guys think?
Edit: we are trending :)

8 RespuestasThe warlock supers suck for bosses in PvE.

6 RespuestasI actually stopped running Self Res. I changed over to song of flame. Was convinced that song of flame is a better perk for my fire team because we could spam the boss or adds with huge amounts of damage over time grenades. Not much of a PvP guy (really only grind out the weekly bounties) so it doesn't bother me to run song of flame in PvP. Besides, how fun is it to lag out the game with so much on screen at once? That CoE last week with Grenade Recharge? So fun popping super and chucking grenades at everything. As a side note it's also great for making orbs. People complain about sunsingers being selfish and not contributing to the raid or anything, well, song of flame changes that. Great fun for everyone.

1 RespuestaEditado por DehCanadianJedi: 4/25/2016 11:17:01 PMAll very good points, but I do have a few reservations on your proposed changes. 1. DO NOT BUFF ARCBOLT DAMAGE! If you were here in y1 you would know exactly why they were nerfed. 2 arcbolts with lucky raspberry wiped a team. A single one dropped you low enough to be oneshot by basically everything. 2. Increasing the time while using quiver would basically make it a better golden gun (Assuming that you're talking about how long you can fire the 2 other shots after the first one.). Unless you're talking about increasing the time that the anchors last, then that would be good. 3. You forgot about sunstrike not applying the melee damage properly. So many times where you would melee someone or something and it would only apply the DoT and some slight knockback, with no melee damage. It really hurts its effectiveness in PvP and PvE. 4. Allowing forcebarrier to stack with blessing of light would basically make bubble titans invincible. It would allow them to survive shatter novas as well as FoH. Golden gun would be useless versus bubbles then as well. 5. Increasing invis time with blade dancers would only further encourage camping in PvP, people have been seeing tons of BDs doing this. (Not a major issue as it seems to be dying down a bit now, but still a concern.) 6. Bleeding with throwing knife shouldn't be a dot, since it would stack with incendiary blade for a OHK. Just make it apply a debuff that reduces recovery or negates it for a short amount of time.

2 RespuestasMaybe like a hundred damage and maybe some knockback to the defender bubble instead. I'm not too fond of the bleeding knife thing in PvP though, but it depends on how much damage it causes.

Stormcaller is an add clearing super, but bullets do it too. No one on lfg asks for warlocks.

7 RespuestasI think that last suggestion about WoD would turn it into a mini FoH
-
2 RespuestasI think 100 dmg and a knock back would be sufficient for ward of dawn. It'd be fun activating it next to ledges. Like at bravo on the shores of time and trying to time it to knock people off.

Editado por Ampliffyy0614: 4/26/2016 1:19:06 AMYea, hunters require a panic super as well. Give hunters the perk release a solar wave around the player when activated. Or at least the ability to blind nearby enemies, to compensate the weak armor. BD- the perk to cloak itself when activating the super.
-
I think nothing on warlocks should be changed because I'm ignorant.
-
I agree. Sunsinger is probably the best all around subclass (PvE + PvP) in the game.
-
4 RespuestasWarlocks are supposed to have the best abilities. They are the space wizards of the game. Their abilities are what makes warlocks warlocks
-
You can't use bloom and have grenades kills activate energy drain sorry. Invalidated.
-
I don't know, I mean someone has to be the best and it's not like they are that much better.
-
4 RespuestasIf warlocks are apparently the best, then why are they considered the worst for KF for some reason?
-
Eh. I don't main a Warlock and I really don't care if they are the best. All I want is Bladedancer to be relevant again, fix the hit detection, buff arcbolt, return Blink to its original state, FIX THE BACKSTAB PERK! We all know this isn't going to happen though.
-
Glad my void walker got a tad buff. Warlocks are my main so I'm happy
-
Ive always thought Ward of Dawn should have a Disintegrate effect when activated. Good post.
-
Of course there is a class imbalance. That's what makes them different classes. I like pretty much all of your points and suggestions.
-
11 RespuestasWhat do I think? I think from day one warlocks have been the pampered and spoiled class when it comes to balance. Hunters are the middle child. Titans are the bastard child. The mistake. The accident. Sunbreaker is too strong. *destroy the subclass* Warlocks have never been in a bad spot. Ever.

I think the titan could bring a good argument to why it could be the best class but I see what you mean.
-
2 RespuestasNightstalker is absolutely fine and doesn't need any buffs. Gunslinger - spot on. Bladedancer - spot on. The only addition to bladedancer might be a bit of an armor boost during super and increase the regen time just a bit when getting kills with blink strike or bladedancer.
