5 RespuestasThere's literally no reason to pre-order games these days. All you do is buy into the hypeculture(one of the things) that is ruining the game industry.
-
Depends on the game. I preordered destiny BO3 and the division. I'm pretty happy with the outcomes.
-
Sometimes, usually if there is some cool gear that you only get for pre-order.
-
1 RespuestaGames I've pre ordered this year: Dark Souls 3 Ratchet and Clank Uncharted 4 Usually only for games where I trust the developer or know what to expect from the game.
-
Only digital, for preloading goodness. Just wake up and start playing.
-
If I'm gonna buy the game regardless, I preorder it. That or if there is something cool for the preorder, like beta codes or skins or weapons or whatever.
-
I prebought overwatch. :P
-
Depends on the deals. If I get $10-20 of credit for future games I'll preorder. Otherwise I don't care about preorder exclusives as they don't mean anything to me.
-
Only if I'm really looking forward to the game and there's an incentive, like a beta code or something.
-
I only pre-order games a couple days before release, if at all, just so it will already be installed and I won't forget to buy it.
-
Only games I know for sure I want, so mostly sequels.

Editado por senator2655: 4/23/2016 12:03:28 PMGames that I love so this year I pre ordered doom and assetto corsa and that's it for me this year game wise . I always pre order car racing games as I love cars and games that interest me or who I support I'll pre order.
-
After preordering the new battlefront, I may never preorder again after that debacle of a game. Only game I'm willing to even consider preorder may end up being Mafia 3, or the rumored sequel to Red Dead Redemption.
-
Only when I know I'm gonna get the game anyway. For example fallout 4. Preordered that shit. And when ES6 is announced, I'm preordering that shit as soon as it's available. And then I'm gonna go home and fap to the idea of that game being in existence finally.

1 RespuestaI've never pre ordered a game.
-
Not usually, but I made an exception for Andromeda.
-
1 RespuestaOnly if the game is one I was going to by no matter the reviews.

2 RespuestasEditado por dogsheet_player: 4/23/2016 4:46:30 AMNo, destiny taught me that lesson.
-
Yes, I preordered overwatch. However, I might not count, because I've played a beta for it already and loved it.
-
.....pre order NMS.....
-
I haven't lately but I think I might pre order Doom
-
I think preordering is hurting the quality of games. Like someone mentioned already, it pushes the deadline, so devs release unrefined games, profit too much from dlc sales, and generally put in a weaker effort to launch a good game. High end devs should bring back free demos of they intend to rely on preordering. That would be more ethical. Then they can back up their hype and prove that they are going to launch a game worth buying.

1 RespuestaMore than I'd like to admitt...

I never preorder. If a developer's sales rely on hype created by Vid Docs and preview articles then it makes it easier for them to release an "ok" game, whats more, the hype makes it harder to push back release dates so games are released with too many bugs. If your sales rely entirely on word of mouth from people playing the game, reviews and reputation then you're more likely to release a "good" game to remain in the market. I'd personally like to see preorders having less sway in the market. That's just how I see it, and for me the bonus content you get for preordering is all trash anyway. I used to collect "collectors edition" boxed games but I just download the base game from Xbox live now and buy expansions as they come out. My filthy collecting habits revolve more around collecting techno records now XD

On occasion Last game I pre-ordered was Dark Souls 3, previous titles hadn't disappointed me yet and sure enough this one is great too
-
I pre order to pay a little at a time
