So, when using a sniper rifle, you are meant to stay back and engage the enemy from a distance. Only now, I can't carry as many rounds, which means when I run dry on ammo, I will have to leave my sniper position, run into a group of enemies to pick up more ammo, and run back to where I came from?
WOW! GENIUS!
Bungie is reducing the ammo pool by 5-7 rounds. Without extra special ammo perks, sometimes I can only carry 12 rounds now. After this bullshit "balancing", I'm going to be able a max of 7? So, typically, less than 2 magazines? Wtf?
Oh, that's right, I can run down into a group of enemies and pick some more up. But wait, that puts me in the middle of the fight, but snipers aren't meant to be battle rifles.
You guys are absolutely genius. Especially McLovin.
Edit: In case it isn't clear, this is poking at the way that, again, Bungie is telling us how we are supposed to play the game. This is going to hurt in the Warpriest and Golgoroth parts of the raid the most.

1 RespuestaEditado por Soul_Eater_42: 4/10/2016 1:10:15 AMSince they misguidedly thought the answer was to reduce our ammo reserves, they should add Shoot-to-Loot as an intrinsic perk to all Legendary and Exotic snipers. Of course, the alternative idea, had they been using their brains at the time, would have been to reinstate the old penalty from Year 1 of losing a portion of special ammo every time you died in Crucible. Reducing ammo reserves isn't nearly as detrimental to special weapons in Crucible as it is in PvE. Morons, man. Morons.

Editado por hva58hva: 4/10/2016 12:45:01 PMIn typical fashion, Bungie has changed the rules, based solely on PVP, not giving a damn about PVE. Obviously some people aren't getting the idea of what sniping is all about. It's about stealth and shooting someone from a great distance, not about having to run down into the battle with your primary to get more ammo. (I'm talking PVE here). It kind of destroys that stealthy thing when you have to not only show where you were, but risk being taken out by the same enemy, or in most cases, enemies, that you were hoping to stealthily take out by sniping. Sure, shoot to loot is great if you have it, but reducing the amount of ammo on your sniper can cause problems. Hey, we'll all adapt as we always do, but once again Bungie is changing the rules on our weapons (nerfing, taking away perks, reducing ammo, etc.) and almost always because of PVP, not caring what the consequences are for PVE.

5 RespuestasShit man looks like you'll have to use a FUСKING PRIMARY

3 RespuestasWhat if I told you
Snipers aren't primaries
1 RespuestaEditado por FauxPhox: 4/10/2016 8:54:08 AMPeople act like using one of the two other weapons you ALWAYS have equipped for an overwhelming seven seconds is a death sentence in any given scenario. How about you wait till the update, level your character to 325+, try the raid and THEN attempt to complain about it on the forums. Just a thought

80% of players are scared of change. Advice to new players stay off forum and enjoy the game.

I run double sniper ammo for boots and chest piece. I'm good.

They got something just for you. Shoot to Loot. They thought of you the whole time ~[^.^]~

1 RespuestaPressing triangle or whatever button that is on xbox changes your sniper to another weapon to use while picking up the packs you genius

2 RespuestasShoot to loot...now a coveted perk. =p

Use armor with sniper ammo/special ammo perks. People that do this should have at least the original amount of special ammo for their weapons. That will still put me somewhere around 20 for black spindle ammo. There have been times at both Warpriest and Golgoroth that I've had to use a heavy or primary because I ran out of special. This isn't a new mechanic we have to learn. We just have to adapt. I don't understand the panic by some.
Oh, that's right, I can run down into a group of enemies and pick some more up. But wait, that puts me in the middle of the fight, but snipers aren't meant to be battle rifles.
Hence Primary weapons That's all

3 RespuestasShoot to loot would be the ideal perk now.

1 RespuestaIt's a great way to encourage use of a primary. The last few nights while doing pvp on my warlock i recently started using a shotgun again. Pretty much maintaining a 1.5-2 KD in 6v6 game types rushing with a shotgun. Not once using a primary. Never ran out of ammo, even got a 25 kill streak. Teabagged countless times and much mail. Less ammo may be a good thing. It will make many consider different play styles.

I've lost all faith in bungie. What a bunch of incompetent idiots. I've always supported bungie and backed up destiny, defending it in long arguments on these forums. I just can't do it anymore. They've ruined the game. All the weapons we come to love, (TLW, Mida, Vex Mythoclast, Icebreaker, Gjallarhorn, to name a few) they just break and make useless. I'm talking PVE and PVP here. Their answer to everything is to nerf it, rather than buff other weapons. Any more nerfs will reduce the crucible to a dull, boring, slow paced environment. During HoW, shotguns and handcannons were OP as hell, but you know what? It was FUN. Mida, for example; absolutely nothing wrong with that gun for a whole year and a half and now, because it's overused - they nerf it. Before someone jumps on me, look at my stats; I barely have any kills with Mida and most of the kills I do have are in PVE. Qullims Terminus? Again, nothing wrong with it at all. Exactly the same stats as ruin wake and other mgs, yet only Qullims gets nerfed (besides blanket heavy ammo nerf) Why? Because it's easy to aquire from challenge mode and lots of people have it. Nothing to do with it being 'OP', because it's not. They could have increased the timer on heavy and special ammo in crucible and reduced how much ammo it gives you even more than they did last time (2.0). They could have made it so you lost special ammo if you die. Perhaps a bad idea, but I'm just saying surely there's better options than what they're doing? But no - let's reduce max ammo inventory and f*ck over PVE players. I haven't played properly since December and was really hopeful that the April update would entice me back. If anything, it's done the opposite and unfortunately put the final nail in the coffin for me - for Destiny. Also, who in their right mind would put any more money into this game? Haven't we invested enough already? Season passes for most other games cost less than TTK did alone! I very much doubt I'll come back to Destiny now and my apologies for the rant - I just care(d) about this game and Bungie are making it very hard to continue playing. Let's hope they do better with a clean slate and Destiny 2.

I'm telling you now fusions are going to be better general purpose secondaries than snipers since they'll at least have more than 6 rounds total
-
What's going to happen to no land beyond? 6 rounds
-
This is why I complement my sniper rifle with a max range, high impact, scout rifle.

Pro tip: press the triangle button.

1 RespuestaI suggest "shoot to loot". Amazing perk

If only you had something other than your special weapon... Maybe like a primary or something. If only...

4 RespuestasI am not exaggerating: If bungie said tomorrow that they were literally deleting ALL year 1 guns from loot pool and even taking them out of you inventory/vault? There would be the predictable backlash but then, as always, you'd see those posts: "git gud, scrub, kid, noob. Adapt" Something along those lines. Key words that young people use. lol, i sound old as hell(35) but patterns are easy to spot. Anyway i personally believe that any product, including games, has benefited from player criticism. It's very important. Bungie not the best at listening, unless it involves pvp...... People just need to play less. Problem with that is that this game is like a drug, it's just hard to stop playing. I'll freely admit that i still do bounties for no reason. Shooting mechanics? RNG? probably that. Seems like a strict ebb and flow of posts. Predictable. Oh, and when you see the post that begins with " you do realize that.........." Followed by something that's inaccurate or wrong or speculation etc... Just another good one

Shoot to loot.
