This is why my old Praetorian Foil is my baby.
50-Damage per bolt (Without using Accelerated Coils), which typically means 4-Bolts to kill (Depending on the Armor/Toughness).
67-Damage per bolt with Reactive Reload, and 68-70 damage with Reactive Reload + Glass Half Full.
The gun is a monster in normal crucible if you know how to handle the slow charge and moderate stability, it takes quite a bit of patience, focus, and timing to use properly.
In this day-and-age in Destiny, the gun is almost impossible to get anymore though, due to the horrendously low drop chance (Lowest Drop chance in Vault of Glass), coupled with the fact that people barely do the old raids anymore. In-fact, if I remember correctly, Praetorian Foil was considered one of the rarest guns behind The Supremacy, according to multiple websites.
Glad I was lucky enough to get one, and kept it.

I happen to have one on my titan! Tell me if it's any good?
-
Editado por Codykins: 4/7/2016 3:14:31 AMAre you talking about the perks? If so, as the two before me said, all the rolls on the gun are the exact same! :)
-
They're all the same lol
-
-
I rarely use it, but I will admit it's the ONLY weapon I kept from VOG! After a shit-ton runs in VOG for yr1 I only got 1- yes ONE, to drop. Bungie will have to pry it from my cold dead hands before I give it up! lol.
-
Apparently, according to drop rate stats of all weapons, the Praetorian Foil has a less than 1% drop rate. (I even heard it has a 0.5% drop rate or even a 0.05%) Which makes that fusion (I have only gotten one ever) the rarest gun that can still drop currently. If all of the legendary weapons from vanilla, TDB, HoW, and Taken King were dropping at the same time, the Foil would be the rarest gun to drop out of them all.
-
No doubt. I have a few thousand hours in the game and have received multiples of every weapon for each DLC (except crucible weapons as I rarely play PvP); but the Foil is the only gun that made me scream at the drop as I knew how rare it was (and still is). Not even the legendary G'horn, Vex, or Crux made me as excited as seeing my Foil drop. lol
-
Same lol The only other weapon that made me react the same way was when I got the KAU8 Constellation Scar to drop last night from Level 28 POE Why? Because of the name, I thought it was a vanilla only pulse rifle haha.
-
Hah! I've still yet to obtain that as a drop. My friend a couple days ago got a Hopscotch Pilgrim, and I had to explain to him how sought-after the gun used to be, and kind of still is, since it's reforgable.
-
I still have yet to receive a hopscotch... But the roll of the KAU8 took me 100 motes to get lol Feeding Frenzy HC rounds/Hand Laid Stock Reactive Reload
-
Omg I had no idea it was that rare. I got one the very first time I beat the Templar a few months ago and dismantled it right on the spot...FML. I did get the Vex from the Atheon kill. First VoG; 1 Foil, 1 Vex. Nothing else.
-
Editado por Nixie: 4/6/2016 5:10:43 PMTook me 36 runs to get the Vex...
-
Compared to someone I know, consider yourself lucky with 36, Lol. My old friend Spazz did over 116 Vault of Glass completions over 3 characters before he got his FIRST Vex Mythoclast. I honestly felt horrible for him, because it was the only reason he was doing Vault, and everytime he wouldn't get it at the end...Well, you could says he lived up to his name, Lmao. He sent a Friendlist-Wide Message to everyone (Even people who didn't play Destiny) when he finally got it (Right before The Taken King dropped, Lol).
-
Wow 36?? I've only completed it once. I got the Foil, the Vex, and the ship. I went in for the Vision or Atheon's Epilogue and I may have to make a few returns now that I know how rare the Foil is. Sounds like the Vex is pretty rare as well. My game's been weird like that though since the beginning; noted drops from 1st VoG and my first POE treasure key gave me a Gally...go figure right? Yet I've struggled w/ no NLB and a couple other rather common-ish items. Gotta love RNG.
-
Ouch. That had to hurt. I played vog three times a week for ages and got 2 drop in 2 weeks! Haha. Never again though. FYI, if you want to try to get it again, it drops from oracles, not Templar. Just wanted to save you from wasting your time, lol.
-
Oh the Oracles? I just remember checking everything after Templar. I didn't know the Oracles even gave anything, thanks. I've only played since Sept'15 so I wasn't around for any year 1 extravaganzas. I'm a loot nut though and knowing how rare this thing is now, I'll have to have one for my collection.
-
Editado por Trek: 4/6/2016 5:58:34 PMHaha. Yeah, same here! Good luck 😉👍😂 Oh, and if you ever want to do vog, hit me up. I'm on xbox one and have lots of experience in the raids - old and new.
-
My G/T's the same. What's yours?
-
I'm so jealous! I might have to start doing VoG every week again
-
Editado por Codykins: 4/6/2016 11:03:00 AMWell worth it! Like I said, you just have to get used to the stability and very low charge rate. The gun takes quite a bit of patience and timing to use properly. The drop chance for it is extremely low though, so I wish you good luck!
-
I could never get used to it. Much prefer faster charge rate fusions.
-
Yeah, it takes patience. The damage output for it is quite worth it though, besides, with pre-charging before you go around the corner, it can in most situations make up for the slow charge rate. Just my two-cents, though!
