Done every banner since HoW and the only one that felt frustrating to play solo was Rift.
I guess I'm just lucky but I always love banner, get wins regularly enough to not get too annoyed and it is usually a little less try hard than normal Crucible too (in my experience). Probably because more PvE players play it, which adds to loadout diversity and broadens the skill spread.

I always play Iron Banner and I always play solo. I have enough success to hit rank 5 and finish all the weekly bounties, even though I play plenty of opposing teams with 5 or 6 players. I have a slightly different experience though because I feel like almost every game is super try hard.
