Heavy in Skirmish is a stupid joke
Step 1. Equip Heavy Machine Gun.
Step 2. Pick up Heavy.
Step 3. Get your free 10 kill spree.
Step 4. Low on heavy ammo? No problem. Heavy is spawning again. Get your free refill. Repeat.
Pretty much every single Skirmish game I've played today has been determined by who held on to heavy for longer.
Just to be clear. I only have an issue with heavy in Skirmish, Salvage, Doubles and Rumble. I think it's fine in all 6v6 and yes, even Trials/Elimination.
Edit: So this thread blew up. There seems to be general consensus with what I've written here, which is a relief. Common sense seems to be alive and kicking. For the others, thankfully in the minority, with their "boo hoo you gut rekt by hevy, lul, git gudder scrub", you guys really need to not jump to conclusions. Yes, I definitely do get wrecked sometimes by heavy, but it's very often me, or my teammates, who is doing the wrecking. And I'm aware enough to recognize the problem. I should not be given a free killstreak just because I picked up some ammo.

Sniper headshot, or supers is the only way to kill off heavy in 3v3. I save my super just for heavy spawn. Also dont let the other team get heavy. If your team is camping around the warm purple heavy glow go see what the other team is doin. Either golden gun, electrify, or darken up their day.

I don't know if it's possible , but here's an idea....... 1 - Make it so special and heavy ammo crates spawn in different locations for every ammo crate spawn time in a match. Camping snipers camp near special ammo crates. In every match I play and get taken out by a sniper, he then proceeds to run 3 meters away to pick up the special (it happens way to often). 2 - We can see where the ammo crates spawn at the start of every match (they always spawn at the same locations). The same would happen even with random ammo crate spawns. To counter this you remove the ammo crate hologram + timer countdown. Oh but wait...... We have weapons that regenerate ammo. Penalize players who use these by having 0 ammo on initial spawn, 1 minute to get first round and 30 seconds for every additional round. You die before that first minute is up, timer resets to 0. Add to this that guardians who use ammo regeneration weapons ARE NOT ABLE to pick up special. They should be locked out.

Heavy in 3v3 is a bad idea; agreed. I have tons of Heavy machine gun kills in my stats & all of them were easy kills.

A lot of people mostly use rockets than machine guns which rockets wins out machine gun

A person on a 10 kill spree with heavy means the other opponents just aren't good enough, no more no less. You have to control the heavy

Then we only use heavy to get rid of theirs if we can after that ya I may still have 60 rounds for my MG. But I put it away cause heavy in those modes is cheap. Vid proof. It's in the game for a reason. You can also counter Heavy if you're good enough.

They should just have it spawn once if anything that way a team of heavy users can't snowball the game too much.

50 RespuestasThe problem is machine guns. Have a rocket equiped to counter it. Have in mind, that the only gamers that play 3v3 in destiny are the tryhards, because many people left the game. Yesterday the other team waved on the heavy, I did wave too, took the heavy, killed them and I waved back again. Don't try to put your own rules in a videogame. The sweties and the tryhards have ruined the 3v3s.

2 RespuestasI've recently replied to a similar thread, but the more I think about it, the more I think it's the AMOUNT of heavy that needs fixing. 4 truth rockets is a bit excessive. But rockets aren't nearly as bad as MGs. In no way, shape, or form should u get 60ish MG bullets from one heavy. Especially considering it takes 3-4 to kill a full health guardian (I think, correct me if I'm wrong). Perhaps we'd all have fewer issues with heavy if the most u could pick up in pvp is something like 2 rockets, or 10-12 MG rounds.
