Actually you get given it as part of the quest line from house of wolves.once you complete all they give you the raid for kings fall.
I have not done raid simply due to elite nobs who say you must have done it so many times and have certain weapons

The King's Fall raid has nothing to do with House Of Wolves. It's part of the The Taken King dlc, not HoW. You're a bit confused on this. Again... you're limiting yourself because you have already pre-judged everyone based on a small percentage of raiders who you may disagree with. There's lots of sherpas out there as well as LFG groups willing to take new people though the raid.
