Now that i have your attention.....one of my previously created threads received a lot of mixed replies but mostly negative due to misinterpretation of my wording, so I'm going to try and be as clear as possible this time round.
The whole point of this one is just to gain a consensus on what a player does after receiving a sniper and seeing its perks, what are the factors that either make you keep it or dismantle it?
So for me, the first deciding factor is scope. I am willing to use any mid to low zoom scope as I personally just can't stand high zoom ones for they feel heavy and clunky in game. And this goes all the way back to year 1 when I fell in love with the VoG sniper & that Ambush scope. Now I know the optimal scope everyone goes for is ShortGaze but to be honest I feel like Ambush has a better feel to it. Does that mean I won't use one without it? No, cause if the rest of the perks are beneficial then I will settle with that scope cause its low zoom. Now don't get me wrong we all have our own personal preference and it took a lot of trial and error initially for me to figure out what scopes I like, well that & Praedayths(sp.?)<3.
Now second deciding factor for me are the two main perks available on the sniper. First and foremost I absolutely love having Firefly on my snipers, cause who doesn't love that little explosion on precision kills? Am I right? So if I see that I automatically have my fingers crossed in the hopes that everything else will fall in place so I can keep it. So now that leaves me with one remaining perk and to be honest it doesn't really bother me what it is as long as it benefits my play style or character. So since I only have a lock I try and go for Army of One if I can but there are various others that I don't mind either.
As for the middle tree or one with three options, this may be the last deciding factor for me when looking at a sniper but it's ultimately "the deciding factor" whether it gets dismantled or infused. There are quite a few good perks I will look out for as in armor piercing rounds, snapshot, quickdraw, hand laid stock, injection mold, and just for shits and giggles if there is explosive rounds. But these are just some I prefer and everyone else's opinion is different.
So that being said....
What makes you keep a sniper?
What scopes do you look for?
What perks do you look for?
What will make you dismantle or make it infusion material?
All opinions & views welcome.
Nobody has any say?
Do threads have to be negative to gain attention?
(Will change title to test theory, keep this in mind if you're reading this)
Edit 2:
First title change produced surprising results, apparently people only read titles these days. Commencing test 2, see how many pay attention now.
Edit 3:
Cause 3 is lucky. Appreciated those who actually replied.

1 Respuestalol dumbasses don't even read the whole thing
-
1 Respuesta-checks if it's ice breaker, - not ice breaker -> shard - ice breaker -> check the perks and see if it has mulligan and snapshot since I like those perks the best -> infuse to 320.

1 RespuestaThe amount of people replying as if there was no body to the topic is hilarious.

1 RespuestaThe deciding factor for me when I get a sniper (or more specifically a 1kys. Res-sniping FTW!!) is the scope. Ambush is amazing. I realize that Shprtgaze is better stat-wise, but Ambush just feels so much smoother. (Plus, you could argue that if you can snipe well without the 20 AA, you are a better sniper)After that, I'm shooting for Last Resort, Snapshot (another important factor), and Unflinching. I have yet to receive this roll, but I haven't stopped hoping.

1 RespuestaI would h8 on ur b8 n rate 8/8 ....but ur so clear that it's not bait at all..... Love short gaze, ill accept ambush though Snapshot or injection mold I like firefly for the same reasons but it's not a great perk maybe hidden hand..... Pve: triple tap, casket mag, firefly n who cares about the scope in pve honestly :/ Max dps uptime P.s. probably want to make sure u get the Will of Light perk too for the extra taken damage..... lol

1 RespuestaJust buff the primary.
-
2 RespuestasThe dont need to nerf nothing, they need to buf shotguns, pulse, fusions and autos... Thats what bungie really needs to do
-
Either snapshot or shortgaze scopes. Hidden hand, rifle barreled or snapshot
-
5 RespuestasOk if they half aim assist on everything people will get used to it like then did with the gunsmith sniper what had around 20 aimassist and horrible scopes, people don't carr

2 RespuestasEditado por the spicy one: 2/29/2016 8:13:11 PMOr instead of nerfing more ... Crazy idea hang on ... BUFF PRIMARIES We don't need to change snipers at all, just make primaries better

2 RespuestasEditado por Mister Nice Guy: 2/29/2016 8:02:59 PM
Now that i have your attention.....
-_-.... Preference: 1. Scope 2. Low recoil (perks & base) 3. Amount of ammo (usually higher combined with low AA)
Usually don't care for impact, unless it's PvE...then that's all I really care for, tbh, combined with ammo from reserve on consecutive shots.
-
2 RespuestasThey've nerfed primaries so much the game is run by special
-
1 RespuestaAll Bungie needs to do is up the primaries or undo some of the broken nerfs
-
1 RespuestaSniper rifles (especially high impact) need to have there handling greatly reduced (make them heavy, slow to aim and switch with).
-
I wish they would nerf snipers.

9 RespuestasEditado por Zodi: 2/29/2016 7:50:59 PMSnipers don't need any type of change , trust me they could be even better so be thankful for that. Bungie just needs to make primarys useful.

3 RespuestasFor me, the first thing I look at is impact. Anything below the middle archetype I tend to shy away from unless I'm after something very specific. Second is perks, I like ones like firefly, surplus, triple tap, and clown cartridge. Third would be the middle column, things like extended mag and arp rounds are what I like to see.
