Why Battlefield 5 WONT be set in world war 1.....
So you may have heard from some news articles like IGN and Games Radar and some youtubers that there have been rumours that battlefield 5 is set in world war 1.... So while this would be cool here's the reason why ......if it were set in any past time period it would not be called battlefield -->5<--....nuff said. I would go into explaining my reasons to why I say that but I think it's pretty obvious that it will not be set in WWI or WWII. And will most likely be set in modern times or the near future.
For everyone who wants to call me dumb here is my reasoning....
Every battlefield game( battlefield 1 was bf 1942) 2-4 besides 2143 and bad company 1 and 2 which are completely different battlefield spin offs have gone in chronological order so it makes no sense why it would be set in world war 1 and be called battlefield 5...

It wouldn't be called Battlefield 5 if it was based during WW1. They would have to change it's name. Possibly "Battlefield: The Shittest War We Could Possibly Base A Game On".

Chronological order goes; -MGS:3 (1964) -MG:PO (1970) -MG:Peacewalker (1974) -MGSV GZ (1975) -MGSV (1984) -MG (1995) -MG2 (1999) -MGS (2005) -MGS2 (2007/2009) -MGS4 (2014) Release order -MG -MG2 -MGS -MGS2 -MGS3 -MGPO -MGS4 -MGS:Peacewalker -MGSV GZ -MGSV So, no. Numerical ordering doesn't equal in game chronology.

Where as the super scifi Battlefield was something like Battlefield 2142 or something?
