I am 100% honest with people when trying to get in on a raid. I understand people are grinding gear and have their rituals, I just can't seem to get in on a run with people willing to help a green horn. I have 305 light, I hammer crucible and have 100% on year one. I'm no scrub, but I keep on getting "maybe next time". I've been in older raids when it was obvious someone had no idea what they where doing, but said they have done it before. I guess once you are in, you are in. My question since I'm going to try to do it tomorrow is: Do I lie and say I'm experienced to get in, or to I keep being straight forward so I don't let a group down?

1 RespuestaEditado por Raider TCK: 2/27/2016 2:39:22 AM305 light is more than high enough. Try and get yourself a black spindle when it comes up on the daily heroic. Here is a good raid guide. ^ The only things that have really changed is the golgoroth strategy. This is how most teams do it now. http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/Raider1987/video/14879549 How to run the brand at oryx: http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/Raider1987/video/13410892 How to dps ogres at oryx: http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/Raider1987/video/14427758 Find a good raid team. Patient people. You don't have to have done the raid to know what to do. Just watch tutorial on YouTube. If you on Xbox I'll help.

Editado por Razgrizdragon498: 2/27/2016 5:12:09 PMDon't lie. If they cant take the time to teach you, they arent gamers at heart. As for advice; Get a sniper, 1000 yard stare would do fine from the vendor, and try to get a machine gun instead of rocket launcher (you're going to be in close quarters jockeying for a site at at least two bosses, stray rocket could catch a teammate's head and bam). Beyond that, all I'd say is use tonight to look up a raid walkthrough to minimize teaching time. Get a good relaxed group and have fun.

2 RespuestasI could help you sometime, shoot me a friend req and we might be able to get not only a normal but a hard mode team for up to oryx, make sure to bring a good thousand yard, I'd recommend the vendor version, good for raids
-
Lying about it will make it worse...I'm able to explain the raid to you, but I can't do that if you won't admit you don't know what your doing. On another note, people have ridiculous expectations on lfg, I see 280-90 asking for 300+ with tom and bs...making requirements you can't meet is just plain stupid! You have absolutely no right to ask for something you don't even have yourself. My advice is to just make a group with your own requirements, go with who you want to, rather then all this elitest bullshit going on in lfg.
-
Don't lie because it won't take long till you keep messing the whole thing up for everyone.
-
https://www.the100.io/ Not tried this yet myself but I have signed up, not had the time yet but I hear it's better than some others. Keep being honest though as a group will turn up to help you.
-
I'll help u. Add me if on ps4 PSN sk3latorr1
-
Since my post was moved by admin I can't edit it! WTF! Good advice, add Clayton-o-tron (psn) if you are raiding tomorrow at 10:00 est Thanks!
-
I'm usually in groups that don't mind explaining we'd usually give the easier parts to them and let them learn. Just be honest you'll be more likely to get nice people.
-
I gave up a long time ago
-
You won't be helping yourself or the fireteam that you are with by lying. Being honest is going to help you more.
-
Do hard mode warpriest challenge. Get gear. Bump up light level. Do normal rest of way. Rinse and repeat on all toons.
-
I've been trying to finish hard oryx since it cane out but haven't been able to cuz everytime I try, it glitches at oryx's b***h ass. You can feel free to friend request me @SYKO_Squishy if you're on ps4 & we can find ppl together

3 RespuestasFind a new game. If you stay persistent sooner or later ull find a group. Or move on and don't waste your time begging for scraps.
-
Don't lie, just be persistent in finding a group. I would actually post instead of trying to join someone else's group, you'll have more success that way
-
2 RespuestasOkay so you might want ti look up how to do the raid and then say you have experience.

1 RespuestaEditado por Tomoyo-CCS: 2/27/2016 3:28:33 AMif you post youre a novice and willing to learn you will find a group(more so they will find you) thats how i started vog, crota nm/hm.

Just lie. It's easier.
-
If you're xbone I'll teach you it. It's easy if you listen and have a basic understanding of the game mechanics.

2 RespuestasEditado por nicchae_KR: 2/27/2016 2:43:37 AMEveryone lies about their hard raid experience. EXCEPT ME. I ain't even joking about this
-
2 RespuestasNo be honest, contrary to popular belief the WHOLE community arnt all dicks haha
-
Your best bet would to be to join a clan. Or slog your way through with LFG. There are quite a few in the forums. Set the filter to most favorites and go from there. I believe my clan still has open enrollment.

Editado por RikkityRekkt: 2/27/2016 2:38:11 AMOops, I assumed xbone. Using the100 is the way to go, hands down.
-
You're hanging with the wrong crowd if they're excluding you
-
3 RespuestasDon't lie, tell people so they can help you and explain it to you, watch videos before, but don't lie, nothing more frustrating then a guy making mistake after mistake and then saying he knows what hes doing, most people will help new players
-
Join the100.io and find a group that matches what you are looking for. You can schedule or join up for raids with new people, Sherpas or pretty much whatever you're looking for. Far more forgiving than going on an lfg site and getting booted because they think you're a "noob." Trust me. There's plenty of players that feel the same way you do
